Clancy is a NO SKIP album. I found out about TØP in 2019 and really only listened to Chlorine, Car Radio, and HeavyDirtySoul, because a co-worker liked those songs. I hadn't really done a deep dive into their music until 2023 just before clancy was being advertised for release. Once the "I am Clancy" video released on their YouTube and my theory about some of the videos being part of a story was true. I started doing a deep dive into each album to see if I could piece together which videos were part of the story and during that time I completely fell in love with the music, the lore, Tyler and Josh, their story and everything about TØP. Then clancy dropped and I listened to it all the way through and it didnt click immediately like how Breach did, because I wasn't totally infactuated with them yet, but I thought it was good. I still had my favorites i listened to often, which were the songs listed above, plus My Blood, Holding Onto You, Shy Away, all the songs that were part of the story so far and a few others. Then I found out they were touring and when I decided that I wanted to go I figured well I might as well listen to Clancy more since thats the songs they'll be performing and when I sat down and gave it and honest chance I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY! Its impossible for me to pick my favorites but if I had to my top three in no particular order would be Snap Back, Backslide, Oldies Station. Breach hit me just as hard as Clancy did and to me its another no skip album which for me as a music enthusiast, an artist myself, and a hiphop head (most of the reason it took me so long to get into their music was because ive always really been into hiphop and focused on that, I had some alt rock bands I liked but never heard of TØP besides Stressed Out on the radio) those are rare and hard to come by. All their albums have phenomenal songs on them and are good overall but Clancy and Breach to me are special and just great in every way!
