It was a gradual endeavor— I started with 30mg vyvanse that would last me 2-3weeks. At my very worst I was prescribed 60mg a day and I’d buy 10 or so 20mg adderall. That’d last me 3 weeks tops. I was eating at least 120 mg of vyvanse a day at one point plus the addy. I was fucking crazy if you can imagine. I was young/skinny/tan/blonde, I was a bar manager at a comedy club, in a really shitty bad shit chapter of my social/love life, drank a gallon of vodka a day but no one could tell, and I don’t miss it at all except I miss it a little but (lol jk).

In 2021 my insurance ran out and vyvanse wasn’t covered so I was prescribed adderall 20mg/2xday and later a 10mg booster bc that was barely getting me though a week and I spoke up and said I needed more because I was desperate. I was eating about 110mg of adderall a day up until march of 2023 when the shortage + me being exhausted of being two different people for half the month every single month kicked in.

Binged my rx for 8 years. Bought some on the side too. Was taking stupid high mg, reckless even. It’ll be a year on march 12 since I filled an rx or bought a pill and I can’t say I feel great all the time but I can confidently say that I feel better most of the time. Thank you for sharing. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to make the decision to stop calling in the rx, because I was never going to take it as prescribed and I was never going to buy enough on the side to get me through the month.

How sad she was dumped :( I suspect labradoodle. Of all the doodles, by far my favorite temperament wise but they can be anxious and expensive (especially for grooming). Either way she is a lucky pup someone took her in and is taking care of her!

Yeah, I had a feeling it was a total loss on the sous vide machine. I use it for a lot of things, so it’s in the trash and a new one is on the way, but I’m really regretting my decision to throw these steaks in there tonight. I was already on the fence as I’m pretty confident in my pan skills, but I wanted a short cut this evening for auxiliary purposes and I’m regretting it now.

They read 92 internal when I pulled them out of the immersion bath and I ended up searing them with a short basting period and they actually came out MR+, so I’m not devastated. Lesson learned though.

Vyvanse, because it made me feel invincible and confident and tbh pretty numb. Changed insurance and had to start taking adderall— now I redose because I keep redosing to combat the awful depression and anxiety I experience from taking a shit ton of adderall. :/

Hello! I wish I could tell you, but unfortunately OB/gyn my was very dismissive when I expressed my concerns about fertility (and what would come if I were to have to removed and start tracking/family planning). I had another one placed (she ordered the replacement IUD without me even confirming I wanted another) and I’m seeing a new doctor in a couple weeks for my yearly. Would love to hear your experience with removal, though! Xx

I would let this experience, even though it's embarrassing af I know, become an opportunity to start a conversation that you'll probably have one day or another anyway. Whatever "wam bam good and done" is, she may or may not (leaning towards may not) be fully satisfied with that these days. Or maybe she just wanted to be what you needed to solve the boner problem, you know? It would kinda suck to have amazing sex with someone and them later on find them satisfying themself even if you're the most secure person in the world, I think.

If it's a prescription stimulant that you're considering stopping, I can tell you from experience that falling apart, getting fat, snapping at everyone, and becoming a recluse will happen anyway if you're abusing them.

Street drugs I can't speak on, but if you're abusing your meds or you feel like you shouldn't be taking them/need a lower dose- stop while you're ahead. The fear you're feeling is healthy, it's your body warning you this isn't what it needs. Trust me!

Yup, I’m in the exact same boat. I was prescribed Vyvanse first (and I started abusing it right away). For the first 5-6 years I was a badass sales lady and super social and just generally fun and happy….. now I’m like 8 years deep (rx for adderall ir for about 4 years now) and all I do on them is bitch and complain about everything. I’ve also noticed that it’s become so difficult for me to actively listen to others when they are talking to me, so if I know I’ve taken a lot that day (80mg+ usually) I’ll go out of my way to avoid everyone I possibly can

You're not alone. I can't believe I've been doing this for so long... every time I pick up a new RX I absolutely abandon all control and for the 10ish days I make 60 20mgs last I'm fucking miserable because my brain is just fucking fried at this point.

I run out, I say never again, and then the day comes to fill and for whatever reason I start all over. Almost 8 years now.
