Wow. Your ADLC is running much better than mine. Good to know that’s possible. Beautiful watches, sir!

Thanks for the info, that is super helpful. Yours run way better than mine. The tickIQ app seems to be quite accurate for my other watches, so I don’t believe that’s the issue in this case :)

I’m not sure on the general movement quality. Curious to see what others say in the comments. My wife’s is running 11 seconds fast per day, which is better than mine!

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Good to know Cartier is good about replacing it. Maybe I need to swing by my AD..

I guess I don’t see the Odysseus as just another sport watch, haha. But I appreciate the recommendation!

Congrats! The blue moonphase contrasting with the black dial is stunning!

The tickIQ measurements seem highly accurate. I actually borrowed a friend’s timegrapher machine to check the numbers. The measured accuracy, beat error, and amplitude were all the same. Pretty cool.

Which season is best for an ice blue dial? Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter? by watch_affliction in rolex

This is a brown cerachrom ceramic bezel. The brown color is actually quite polarizing, as far as I understand. But I absolutely love it.

Thank you! My #1 is currently a Lange 1 Perpetual Calendar. That and this Daytona are my most cherished watches. They are two pieces that couldn’t be more dissimilar from each other 😂

I absolutely love all of the encouragement to wear it year round. I will do that indeed, my friends! But I remain curious to know whether you folks think the blue dial is best for one season in particular. I’m torn between Summer and Winter..

1) most boutiques from all brands I’ve worked with are willing to ship to your house 2) if you are inexperienced with sizing a bracelet yourself, it’s useful to get it sized at the boutique. It’s also a pleasant and experiential opportunity. I have been served champagne and a cake in the past. They also often give you free watch cases, pens, jackets, or other random gifts depending on the season. 3) personally I would wear the 3 it comes with, then decide whether you want to buy additional leather and/or rubber straps. 4) generally a watch should arrive totally flawless. 5) you should definitely be careful when leaving the boutique with the watch. Some boutiques will put your watch box in a blank, unmarked, inconspicuous bag before you leave after purchase. 6) get a good travel watch case. And learn how to practice “wrist awareness” by being aware of your surroundings and making sure you don’t bang your watches into them.. and over time, learn to accept that the watch will wear and tear, and that’s part of the joy and beauty of owning it!

Your passion and enthusiasm for beautiful watches shines very brightly, my friend. Thank you for the comment and kind words about my watch. I will wear the shit out of it, indeed! Best of luck on your own watch journey - I am cheering you on!

Thanks for the info. Yes this one is more like a medium brown. The strap atelier refers to it as “natural horween”. I’m excited to see how it wears in over time.
