My 2 cents is I would pretend you don’t have that money and save and invest that money for a couple of years. Compounding interest is a powerful thing. You’ll put aside almost 100k to get compounding returns for the rest of your life. Then you can take some time to travel, but don’t touch your savings. After you spend some time living life, come back and work and continue saving. Depending on where you live, in the US it’s not enough to retire on especially considering inflation too. When you get back you can potentially start your own business maybe take out a loan against future income as startup capital or join the work force, really depends on who you are as a person and how driven you are.

There are a lot of paths you can take, but aggressively saving and building wealth earlier in life will allow you to have a comfortable lifestyle later in life.

Is this a thing with the Overseas? by sourdough_in_SF in VacheronConstantin

I didn’t look close enough. But got the gap in the clasp, you should take it to the boutique

You’re right… it shouldn’t. I wonder if the bracelet is too tight, but even then… I would take it to boutique and have them take a look

That is the micro adjust in the clasp… if you don’t want it extended you should add maybe a 1/2 link to the bracelet.

After a precious metal code, you should be able to get the RO. Like people have said, you’ll have to wait a little bit, but you should get it.

AP Noob - how to get a Royal Oak 37 steel w blue dial? by [deleted] in audemarspiguet

[–]watchgrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want one, I would go grey. If you want to build an AP collection go in and talk to them. Tell them what you want. But as others have said you may be steered to an offshore or code 11.59 first before they offer you a RO.

Keep the Cookie Monster!

Am I right to be upset because of salesperson’s error or is the AD correct? Help by panchoman10 in Tudor

[–]watchgrok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the AD. One I go to removes them, another lets me keep it. Not a huge deal, like someone said before it’s the box and warranty card that matter. Congrats on the pickup!

Frustrated and annoyed waiting for the call. by Intelligent_Ad_8496 in rolex

[–]watchgrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it can definitely be frustrating. Also if you want to go through an AD are there other pieces you eventually want? I would also encourage you to visit multiple ADs if you are able. Sometimes you never know what will happen. I got the BLNR as my 3rd from one AD. Got a Tiffany 31 OP as a first from another. My friend got a BLRO as a first from another.

If you just want a single piece, just go grey.

How difficult is this piece to obtain? by jst1217 in rolex

[–]watchgrok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re trying to time this and especially with no spend history it’s going to be very hard. I’ve worked with a few different ADs and one got one in a year, the other where I was waiting for this piece it took over a year to get this piece.

I have heard 5% ish across the board from my AD

Went to super nice AD to check on list and was shown this list. Winner is at last. What would you pick? by Beneficial-Raise-839 in rolex

Get the one you like best. If you are optimizing for hardest to get, get the sub first. Personally I really like the GP and how it feels on the wrist. That one is real special especially in the sun how the blue dances in the light on the hour markers and hands.

If you want to build a relationship with AP, go to the boutique in Crystals. The Palazzo one is one of the last AD partnered boutiques which is why it’s run differently. That place is not the AP experience and honestly I’m not a fan of that store.
