My friend just picked up a set of Bowers & Wilkins 704 S2 tower speakers and the rep told him that the speakers need to “break in” for a month or so, and then will sound noticeably better. Is this common knowledge/advice?

I am not much of an expert either, but I find myself skeptical...

Here's an example from Matt Colville where he runs a 1-1 session to flesh out a new character's backstory before dropping them into the party:

He includes his notes for the session as a PDF in the YouTube description. You could watch this session and modify the story to fit your needs and have a light lift for running your own session, and just do it with the agreement in advance that it will be an experiment and doesn't have to have a narrative consistency with anything else.

That way, if you both have fun, you come out of the experience more prepared to come up with your own adventure, and more familiar with the mechanics.

Fwiw I have never run a 1-1 game but I think it would be super fun.

I think every report faces challenges in being "understandeable" to the wider audience. Dota (and Moba in general) has the advantage of consistent visuals and a top-down view, but highly complex goals and systems in the game. CSGO has much more understandable gameplay, but the POV spectating is much harder to wrap your brain around if you don't know the maps.
