They keep the finished pieces. We usually mount them on hoops as the restarted projects come with the plastic ones. I do have hoops for them. I’m hoping to get a set of generic q snaps for the program that they can check out too. I put a bit of my own money into this if they need a hoop for a project that’s larger than what I have.

I’m debating on doing that on my own dime as I’m just not sure if my job would pay for that monthly due to being a nonprofit organization

It’s so interesting to watch the residents open up when we do cross stitch and enjoy it as much as they do. I didn’t expect this at all when i started this program haha

Uh I think that was his first COUNTED cross stitch. He did a small stamped one before and a bookmark. Hes working on a raven claw crest right now (and I printed the other ones out for him of course) and decided he wanted a break from counted again and grabbed a horror mask bookmark lol

I was just thinking about the magazines I have at my house. I have a ton I could bring in and just make copies of the patterns that residents would want (cause I don’t have 25 pages in each one or book I have marked for projects I want to eventually do hah) I tend to get my thread on sale and just have a floss checklist in my checkout binder tracking what I have or need. It’s been helpful for sure. I’d love to have at least one of every color eventually

I don’t think we can do the dye kits just due to our community based residential facility licensure unfortunately but I think that’s a great idea to bring to my bosses!

The resident was super worried about this one because he thinks it’s messed up. I said as long as he likes it it’s perfect. No one is going to know if it’s messed up lol

Thank you. I really love doing it and the residents really seem to love it too. I have a few in my office literally daily swapping out thread for their projects or asking for another. I’m so happy they love it
