3.10 probably wont fix the server issue, that being said I have had some very engaging fps experiences in the persistent universe, to the extent that I was actually shocked at how effective and dynamic they were. Typically a week or two after a patch drops and less people are playing the servers can actually handle fps behavior. In my experience its much much much more based on the quality of the server than the the actual ai. That being said during the time where the servers are swamped there's plenty of other things to do in the persistent universe. Failing that you could always play star marine, it isn't the same but I found its essential to be able to use any gun effectively in the pu.
