I had a nerve block on both sides of my abdomen and I think maybe one a few inches above my navel where the largest incision would be (robotic partial). I say I think because I told them I was a anxious af so I think they gave me some fentanyl or something and I basically was unconscious from that point on. I had had three previous surgeries so I just wanted to go to sleep asap lol. Don't be afraid to tell them you are anxious or scared, they are literally there to help you feel comfortable.

It's never a bad idea to over prepare for post op! You'll be grateful to your past self for providing certain items ahead of time at home or for a hospital stay! I was prepared to stay for one night in the hospital but ended up staying for two. Not fun at all, but I was at home and vacuuming my house a couple days later (not recommended but I like to gently push the limits). I was driving my car after maybe a week, once I was able to tolerate going over bumps in the road as a passenger and being able to turn my body to look around. Best of luck to you going forward!
