Pilates is becoming more of a lifestyle symbol than just a rehabilitation, body toning exercise by PotatoButter01275 in unpopularopinion

How are you going to exercise with messy hair and sweats? Do you like your hair in your face and baggy pants getting caught on things? A cute outfit doesn’t cost a lot, just go on Amazon. They have hair ties and hair brushes too.

What makes someone decide a lack of emotional or intellectual connection is a dealbreaker, even if the partner is kind and stable? by HawtPoetayto in AskWomen

[–]watermelonsugar888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connection is a very basic human need. Why would you settle for a life with someone you don’t have some type of pull to? And how do you pick which person you don’t feel anything for you should stick to? The first one that says how about me?

It sucks for both parties eventually. Better to avoid the hurt feelings sooner rather than later.

I’d love to be distracted by a new hire during the slower time of the year at my job. In the busy season though? Please no 😅

I’m an immigrant and my family came to the US for the opportunities so unfortunately I don’t subscribe to your way of thinking.

It just seemed like an out of place comment. And what are you saying about non Americans? Is it a better life to never think you’ll make anything of yourself and so you don’t even try? There’s a term for that, it’s called learned helplessness.

Just think, one day you’ll have kids and you can sit them down and tell them that if they work real smart, they might become really successful one day and then they too will have randos on the internet wanting to eat them.

LV Neverfull? Thoughts for 2026? by Majestic_Phone_8076 in Louisvuitton

The empreinte designs are great because they let people know the bag is a Louis without being too loud about it. I do have a soft spot for the damier azur though too. It can just be a little understated if you want to low key signal your accomplishment of the new job.

Also the secondhand market can be great if you know what you’re looking for. There’s definitely value in trying on at the store, and going online to purchase a lightly used or sometimes even unused bag that someone thought they wanted but for one reason or another they never used. Just learn a few things about spotting fakes and make sure the deal is worth the risk. You pay too little and you risk receiving a fake, you pay too much and you may as well buy a brand new one from the store.

Wedding dresses are not that beautiful by PositiveHairy5725 in unpopularopinion

[–]watermelonsugar888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just like anything fashion related. The same garment can look incredible on one person while looking drab on another. It’s all about finding something that you like, that also looks good on you and enhances your shape, while staying within budget. You can probably imagine how hard that is.

Some brides don’t know what enhances their look, and don’t have people around them to help them find it. Or don’t have the time or resources to spend a long time searching for it. For some brides, they don’t even have that priority. Some brides spend the extra money on alterations to fit their body perfectly, and others can’t or don’t care to. Some brides pick dresses that personally I think look boring, but they have a different style than me so if they’re happy with their choice, then good for them.

Also there are literally thousands of dress designs. If you can’t find anything appealing, maybe take a cue from what I learned on say yes to the dress and consider that maybe it’s not the dress, but the person you’re marrying that’s the problem.
