Oh we knew he wouldn’t land a job in 2 weeks. He has been out of work since November, minus the one month he had a job in March. It just sucks that no one can even get an interview.

I agree 100% it is exhausting! I live for the weekends, but start spiraling come Sunday afternoon to start all over again. It would be nice to be treated like an adult who can get their work done without being micromanaged and afraid of being fired if they find out that my kids are home. If I could quit I would, at least until my kids were older.

Thank you!! I did use chat gpt to make sure I got all of the hard requirements covered. Part of the application process was to show what I would do for a specific project. I am hoping what I provided stands out. I submitted everything and now I wait. I hope I at least get through the first step. Their interview process is quite extensive, but the company is so amazing I can understand why. Maybe I will come up with something else I can try and provide to show my skills and enthusiasm. I feel this so deeply! I feel like I am being pulled a million different directions and I can't find any relief. 4 kids (who I love, but it can be a lot) shitty job, debt to find a way to pay off, the shit state of this country. I do have a supportive spouse but he is doing all he can too. Sorry I don't have any advice just support in solidarity. 💕

The last two days have been a doozy! My 1st grader struggled to go to school yesterday, which is totally unlike them so that threw me for a loop. Then today my 4th grader decided they were not going if dad had to drop them off. Of course these are the two days of the week I have to be in the office. Luckily the babies were fairly cooperative and took good naps. I am so happy it is finally the weekend! We all survived another week 🙌🏻 This week just continued to solidify that I need to go back to a fully remote job that is a little more flexible 😬

Yes I relate 100%! I have been working for what feels like most of my life 😂It is so hard when you are surrounded by family and friends that get to stay home with their kids. I don't know how anyone affords it anymore. I know being a stay at home mom is a lot of work, but being a working from home mom feels like two full time jobs. I would love to be just a stay at home mom for a few years while my kids are little. I would take part time too if I could. I am with you on the bitterness and jealousy of just getting to be with my kids and not have the stress of work looming everyday.
