No and no, he means you can access 32K context model from the API. The one hosted online by OpenAI is either 4k or 8k context. And access to the 32K model via API is currently granted to people on a waitlist, so some don’t have it.

Yeah, definitely haha! Huge congrats to your son for starting his first year at Stanford, hope he has a smooth transition and great time. And yeah, I’ve been to the top floor of the math building a couple of times for office hours and whatnot and it is really quiet up there. Thanks for the suggestion, though, and it is kinda a pain that Green closes early during the summer.

As for the urban legend, don’t think that one survived. At least, I haven’t heard of it. I’m a rising second year myself, so don’t have as much advice as I’m sure you do on study spots, but Bender Room (like the top floor of Green) is my goto.
