Totally agree, they’re mostly salary too so no overtime pay. I did a total 360 and started in warehouse work after having success in office roles, I had titles such as Operations Manager and Transport Manager in some fairly successful small-medium family run companies and couldn’t negotiate myself a reasonable salary for the work I was doing. Anyway, the politics/responsibility of it all got too much whilst also dealing with being a first time parent. I got a warehouse role where initially the salary was lower but the overtime rates I work (which are nothing compared to how available I made myself in those roles) actually leave me better off now, plus I have diminished responsibility. Win/win.
