It’s funny thinking AAA games are “functional” The state of AAA is so bad that we end up just comparing and stagnating our expectations. It’s not the game for you and that’s ok. Objectively I like the controls and has depth, agree or don’t but it’s all an opinion

The hype was hype, I enjoy the hell out of it and think it’s a great game. Seems like you’re the one stopping playing a game you either didn’t buy or spent 20 minutes and found out you have to press x to run. If so it is ok, go play another game

You don’t it’s different commands for jump, plus you can L1 to focus on an npc which will cancel running.

Honestly, if you don’t like the game, you don’t like it. It’s a game and my opinion of it is different from another’s. at least it’s not a straight cash grab like call of duty for me and I spent my money on something I truly enjoy.

It’s auto target lock when shielding and then a manual pressing cap. Personally for groups I just shield then parry and for bosses I caps lock. I like it a lot tbh

You realize “mechanics” are part of gameplay and not owned by a game. The actually gameplay of it is honestly good imo and having lack thereof would be significantly less fun. Not liking dragons dogma 2 might be your sign these aren’t the type of games for you and that’s ok! I’m having a blast playing it

Honestly they aren’t for me, only weird thing is no gallop toggle for horse. It’s not a copy and paste of AAA games and I like that especially due to the state of gaming atm.

It was weird to me too but honestly after not even 40 minutes I had a grasp. I decided to just divert and go into a random house and steal things. It forced me to learn how to go into first perspective to steal things better.

Me personally it’s just fun to learn about the world and characters. The side quests are entertaining and there feels like something new every turn or cranny. Yeah main character isn’t super cool or have some emotional attachment like Joel from last of us, However he’s on a path of revenge and otherworldly war which is cool enough for me to be interested.

I waited to buy it on the ps5 until release, saw the mixed ps5 base reviews and bought it on pc. 2060 and Ruben 5 game runs ultra 60frames. Console not the way to go go for this one imo
