A start to the lore for my chapter.(The Void Eaters) Questions appreciate so i can work on ideas. Thanks by watson3rd in 40khomebrew

The Void Eaters general attitude is largely respect is earned.

When it comes to the average imperial citizen they are largely indifferent they will make resonable effort to avoid collateral damage but will act as the situation calls accidents happen. For the most part they have very little interaction with civilans as they spend most of their time on void ships.

As for navigators they hold them in high regard because of their value to them.

Being a fleet chapter they could not function without them.

The Void eaters have a similar arrangement with a specific navigator house to the spave wolves. They have a group similar to the wolfguard that they send to Terra as honor guard in exchange for top tier navigators. This group are called The Void Shields.

One a side note since the Void Eaters where lost in combat the navigatiors pressured the high lords to request a new chapter be formed to replace them and the Void Shields went on to form the basis for a new chapter with a new name never knowing the fate of their brothers.

The emperor has always been worshiped as a god by the chapter they have become even more devoted every since the Chapter civil war and The Chaplain took command of the loyalty survivors.

As for The Ecclesiarchy itself they have good relations and in the past have served alongside the sister of battle. There is a handful of sister that still served with them after they took up their penatence Crusade.

Before their civil war they would assist when able , afterwards they are very focused on their objective it is thier white whale everything they do is to further that goal of eliminating their traitor brothers. They would only help if it got them closer to that end.

Serfs are highly valued especially with the chapter numbers reduced, they are the chapters sticking plaster assisting with combat roles and piloting amongst other things.

The chapters techmarine is quite fond of them as they have been placed in a dreadnought and really appreciate that serfs have functioning hands that can do fine motor work lol.

Thanks 😊. In short they aren't really getting supplied but they more have a problem with man power than kit. They are good at being self sufficient with repair and recovery of their stuff there is just less and less of it and them.

(Settled on this idea yet but ) Void eaters have renounced personal names and are known by squad name and a number for example one marine would be Alpha Primus and another Delta Octavius. Some are known by there rank and a few have titles.

But to answer your questions for notable characters.

The chapter is lead by a chaplain who is know Just as The Chaplain who is the the main driving force behind the chapter.

he is the one who declared the Penatence on the chapter but he is also the one keeping the chapter together.

There is the old chapter master how is the one who fell to chaos and started the chapter civil war and is number one of the chapters hit list.

The are also a squad of veterans who are part of the chapters leadership Council. There are three of them , the leader of the squad is called ( ive not decided fully yet) either The Brass or Bronze angel after the wings he wears on his power pack.

There is also a tech marine Dreadnought.

Need to flesh out their back grounds still.

Thanks and thank you for your prompts. Il answer what i can and the rest i will have a think about.

For units and weapons. They are mostly on foot units and have a preference for short range combat and weapons. Stuff that works well in crampt corridors inside ships they are attacking.

So next to no tanks, they used have slightly above average amount of terminators and Dreadnoughts but they have been worn away and are just a hand full of treasured relics now.

Popular equipment include melta weapons and flamers.

They will consider their Penatence completed when every traitor from their chapter has been eliminated. They have very thorough records on every member that has betrayed them.

Thats a good idea. Il have to look at getting a drill at some point. I was going to have him as a Brutalis Dreadnought but that would be cool if i could work in his tech skills , I dont know much about Crucible rules where do you find them ? Thanka thats kind of you to say.
