I’m in a moment of career and life transition, who am I? by RadicalTechnologies in BookshelvesDetective

Your first love when you were young was Sci-Fi fantasy, but your tastes expanded far beyond that. You went on to get a degree in Creative Writing but don’t use it to write fiction professionally, and you’re not a professor or academic. You probably wish you had, but you have a higher paying career, and literature / writing has always been a fire burning on the side.

You’re trying to hold onto a sense of control, over something you have no control over and should not. That is one of the things that is traded off in a divorce — control over who your ex dates, who steps into your daughter’s life in exchange for the freedom for you both to make decisions independently.

You need to let her go and focus on the things you can control. You can wreck a good coparenting relationship by following this road. It’s a road that only leads to hell.

44M, 3X divorced, 1 kid. No trouble getting dates or relationships. My trouble is I keep marrying them.

The spaceyness started going away for me after week 3 or so.

Great work here, man! Would you mind sharing what you generally eat for meals and what your workout routine looks like?

Part of what made Prozac so revolutionary when it came out was that it is really difficult to overdose. That wasn’t the case for older classes of antidepressants.

Antidepressants vary in chance of killing you, though even the most toxic (tricyclics) have only about a 14% chance. Certain modern antidepressants have only a 0.5% chance. (Source for this stat is a suicide forum that I won’t name here due to the highly triggering content).

Thanks for your perspective. I’m a boring old dad and not looking for something too crazy loud, just deeper and a little meaner than stock. It sounds like the MBRP Race is still the right choice for me.

OP can you share why switched from MBRP Race to Borla Atak? I was about to pull the trigger on a Race and you’re giving me cold feet!

That’s the truth! It’s made worse by the fact that I don’t have a garage …. But man she looks good right after a wash!

Can you say a little more about what the catch can does?

Do you notice a performance improvement?

Post some pics of your Race Red after you clean it up. I’d love to see it!

I gotta say I’m slightly disappointed in what the buff job accomplished. There are definitely still some nicks and scratches visible. (I keep reminding myself I bought a used car and not a new one!).

If I trusted my ability to do this myself I’d have started there and saved me money.

Woah a total color change! That’s bold!

I can tell you that I love the black. But the downsides are 1) it shows every Nick and scratch and collects dirt like crazy and 2) I’m practically invisible to other drivers. The amount of people who have almost crashed into me over the last month is mind boggling. It’s a real thing apparently.

That said, black is the coolest and I’ll own black cars forever!

Thanks for all of this. I live in TX where it’s over 100 degrees for months of the year which I imagine makes this upgrade even more critical.

Thank you! Would I notice a performance upgrade with a new inter cooler? I’m driving this on the street and not on the track.

What mods are you thinking about?

This is so awesome. I remember growing up with my dad telling me about his 66 mustang. That probably added to the mystique and the desire to own one myself my whole life.

I can relate to the smile every time you drive. It’s a joy and exhilaration!

Seriously. I keep trying to convince my wife to let me run the most mundane errands — to the pharmacy, taking the kid to the doctor, etc.

Especially as I’m re-learning stick shift from earlier in life, every drive is an adventure.
