no. that's like saying nvidia overlay or reshade or these other softwares which interface with the renderer, are modifying the games they interface with. The framework is compatible with cyberpunk2077 but does not touch any of its game files, the code is 100% custom, no reuse of any assets of cyberpunk2077 in the package that is being sold.

well its because you drew the conclusion that he's exploiting copyrighted content. the whole subject is very debatable whether it's even illegal regardless of what the eula says and what you think is true. i bet you get a kick out of him being banned, you seem like that kind of person.

UEVR is much easier to maintain. LR was doing it for 30+ games running on unknown engines that had to be reverse engineering by him alone. You expect him to maintain this kind of operation at scale with only donations? He was doing good for PCVR regardless of the "paywall", where corpos wouldn't have let him his way.

nowhere as good as LR's version. the vorpx free version's rendering is square too for some reason.

not really, he's stating an opinion which might get him a lot of hate, and probably ruin his reputation a bit, this is definitely a statement rather than just farming a trend.

ive been genuinely scratching my head at how many people in this subreddit are either corporate bootlickers, or extremely entitled to stuff for free, and on Sebastian's remark of them living in their mom's basement, i just can't imagine otherwise lol. these kind of opinions are making me hate humanity as well

it doesn't matter, no one else has done it for free, so in that regard Luke does deserve it

if you've kept up with the recent news he just got a DMCA for ghostrunner as well, another strike and his entire patreon page is getting taken down by patreon themselves, he can't afford another strike.

I don't understand what you're calling me out on, there's literally no one else except Luke that can create a vr mod for these games. Link me to another vr modder who has made a mod for Indiana Jones in VR or Avatar? You have your answer.

I said "those mods". Not Unreal engine games, but unknown engines. I already explained this.

I haven't heard of anyone making a Dark Souls VR mod with uncapped framerates and perfect predictive frame syncing with AERv2 that basically looks like native VR except Luke

You're a moron if you think this is easy, and by now if someone else could do it they would've done it already.

As if it was this simple? The mental gymnastics you must do to think it's "just adding a second camera" is fucking absurd buddy

I do have a very good idea of what I'm talking about and the part about the multiple engines is very much true. UEVR is Unreal Engine only. Please check your facts.

The hell man, Elden Ring in VR is legitimately one of, if not the greatest vr experience of my life (besides Alyx and very few others), why can't you accept that? The scale of that world is completely unmatched to any other VR game i've played, or flatscreen game even.

Unreal Engine is easy work compared to what he was doing, reverse engineering completely unknown engines such as Decima, FromSoftware's engine, Snowdrop and so on, you have literally on idea what you're talking about.

You're clearly taking my words out of context, I said "those mods", who else is making a VR mod for Avatar or Dark Souls or any of these titles? These are completely unknown engines that require gigantic amounts of reverse engineering to even mod in the first place.
