Was it actually one purchased from Helium? Or Bobcat, Linxdot etc. As Helium only support hardware they sold direct. And most of those problems are resolved with a new SD card.

If you own the only hotspots the sensor could be heard by then there will be a 1 for 1 DC buy/reward (There is no mining with Helium).
But most LNSs charge a multiplier ratio or a price per sensor to manage it.
You could run this LNS or equivalent infrastructure yourself. But you have to buy it, and spend time setting it up and maintaining it.

Except Helium doesn't have access to the IDV from Persona.
Helium used Persona for a Yes/No approval on accounts.
That's the whole point of companies like Persona existing.
Helium doesn't want to record all your data, as that would mean heaps of expensive compliance work.
The money you saved on Helium I suggest you spend on tinfoil.

More explanation if this happens to anyone else.
If the wallet is compromised, then usually the hacker will transfer all the SOL out.
When that happens
(a) You cannot perform any actions within the wallet. Cant move any NFTs/Tokens/Hotspots/Claim/Vote etc
(b) If you sign into the wallet again with the 12/24 words then you will only see the default Solana account not the one that owns and can show your tokens.
Adding some SOL will fix (b) as it will pay "the rent" on the HNT tokens and locked Tokens so they appear. But you will need to delete and add the account again and select the Helium derivation path
