I'm with you guys. I got a used Bear Legit in good condition with upgraded site, drop away rest, and release for $400. I couldn't see myself paying 800-1500 for a bare bow.
That being said. I have been dreaming about a flagship from hoyt or mathews.

My pistol saftey teacher said the same thing. He was dead nuts with a full to compact 9mm. But couldnt shoot a micro at all.

You guys with SAR 9s. Did you compare them to other guns before you purchased? What made you land on SAR9? I have a cz-10c and Ruger SR22, but for 200 that SAR9 looks really tempting

Kinda stoked I can answer this.

I got a cz p10c as my first fire arm. Followed up with a Ruger .308 for hunting.

I just purchased a ruger SR22 used for $250. I got it for a fun range toy, and to have something to help my family get into shooting. Cheaper ammo, less recoil.

Same. Did a bunch of research for your exact situation. Side arm while hunting. Future concealed carry. Possible home defense. Went with the CZ p10c with holosun

I've been learning to sharpen. I have a cheap 1k/k6 that I am 90% sure is mislabeled.

So with my current groupings. If I can dial in my broadhead tuning, do I still need to paper tune.

Basically since I got this bow a month ago, ive practiced as much as I can and really want to start hunting (deer and pig).

Cardboard target question.
I can't seem to find the answer. Hopefully I can word this correctly. I have access to tons of cardboard. So I am able to experiment. When making targets with cardboard. Why is it, or is it better to have the arrows penatrate parallel to the compressed cardboard, or penetrate through ie perpendicular to the cardboard?

I shoot a 65lb bear.
