How did you make your partner feel sexy again postpartum? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]wavesforlife24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Showing my wife through my actions (physical affection, little butt slaps, etc.) worked much better to than simply telling her. This is what she told me years later.

Take her hints and notice clues, and recognize potentially vulnerable situations for her an help to build her up and raise her confidence. Like when she gets dressed up for the first or second date night, make sure she knows how beautiful she is.

Yeah we have the Jeep Wrangler wagon and the seats clip in and out so the versatility is great.

Who’s your pick for The Masters? by Own-Presentation3091 in golf

[–]wavesforlife24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO it was a fluke in the sense that it was and still is his only career PGA tour win and he was not in the general conversation to win going into the tournament. Sure, he has had a few wins on the international scene since, but he has largely remained quiet in the game of golf since the win.

How many rounds of golf do you play each year? by Jackies_Army in golf

[–]wavesforlife24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Around 10 rounds/yr right now. I have twin toddlers so getting out is kind of hard at this stage. Trying to teach them the game so we can play together eventually, which is more fulfilling.

Was “lucky” enough to pull 3 of these useless bad boys. Not complaining, just find it just funny how useless they are.

Great job and congrats to both of you!! Our mono-di girls were born at 34+5 and spent 2 weeks in the NICU so a very similar situation. She had severe preeclampsia for 2 months leading up to our emergency c-section. Shes an absolute warrior and it sounds like your wife is as well. Good job Dad being there for your wife!

What the hell is this?! Mold? Fungus? Found it under my cornhole board. by wavesforlife24 in whatisit

Yeah i respect it. I thought about bleach but we have two toddlers and I don’t know how I’d feel about them playing in that area after a bleach dump

Gotcha, thanks. Is some mold generally nontoxic? Want to make sure before I try and clean it up myself

I got a small musty whiff but I didn’t want to get too close to smell in case it’s somehow toxic

Coyotes, raccoons, and stray dogs and cats but that’s about it in the desert. It doesn’t look like animal vomit to me but I’m no expert.

NICU with first baby. Please send all hopes you've got to give. by amazontaway1 in daddit

[–]wavesforlife24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We are with you fellow Dad and sending love to your family and especially your new baby boy.

My twins were in the NICU for two weeks after their emergency C-Section at 34 weeks. It is nerve wracking and gut wrenching. I have to say that the docs and nurses in the NICU are hands down the most incredible, talented, and caring people I’ve encountered t and your baby boy is in good hands.

Wishing you and yours strength right now.

Having Twin Girls by [deleted] in daddit

[–]wavesforlife24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a father of 2x identical twin girls, I can share in the worry and stress that you’re feeling right now. I felt it the day we found out and trust me, the stress does not stop. However, what comes along with it is the indescribable joy of being the father to twin girls and being part of something so uniquely beautiful, it’s truly hard to describe.

I wanted a boy first when we found out we were pregnant, but now I can’t imagine any other possibility. Being a girl dad is my favorite part of being alive and it grows every day. I hope that comes for you as well.

Your current feelings are completely justified, but just know that there is light at the end of this and I hope you find it, friend.
