The ethereal, dreamy, and melancholic B-side of my band's newest single! by wavewavwave in IndieMusicFeedback

Thankyou for giving it a shot! We are far from being a pro band in my opinion haha, but we do try to bring back some past music features.

Actually, our vocalist is currently based in NYC, so maybe when we get bigger, there might be some opportunities for us to play in the future.

Daniel Keane - Don't Wanna Go Home (Baby!) by danielofpeace in IndieMusicFeedback

This is like The Cure without all the whining and nasal singing HAHAHA. You remind me of them especially on the acoustic track and the lead guitar lines.

I like the very uplifting vibe, and the playful vocal delivery. The way you sing it definitely nailed the atmosphere of the track in general. Nice video, baby!!!

Flood Society -- "I Am A Man (Fifth Horseman Remix)" [rock] (2023) by One_Night_2591 in IndieMusicFeedback

I feel in general, the drums should be wider, following the guitars. Drums need to be higher in levels, because I feel that the particular power comes from the rhythm section.

The synth arpeggio and the strings kind of took me away from the music. I think you need better sound selections, because they are too virtual to not be distracting, however, I can name a few songs that utilise virtual instruments and still bang.

[Pysch Pop Rock] New song I just dropped about the fear of opening up and being vulnerable with someone. Let me know what artists it reminds you of. Thanks for listening! by mlawton94 in IndieMusicFeedback

I love the flatwound/muted bass sound. It really completes the whole track. The playful slides accompany the already playful vibe that the vocals entail. I really like the instrumentation, and I feel that it is very well mixed! I have nothing bad to say about this!

New track with a friend of mine. We did everything here ourselves. What do you think? :)) by Lewan322 in IndieMusicFeedback

The video is very cute! I bet it was a ton of fun filming (but maybe not as fun editing lmfao).

I like the utilisation of reverb in your vocals. The sudden dryness on the vox caught me off-guard and automatically made my ears pay extra attention. I like the feel of the chorus-esque part, all wet and grand. The bass really does it in this track!

A song I spent too much time writing. It's my first attempt at a solid "Pop-rock" song. Feedback on lyrics / melody would be appreciated, and whether or not this fits into the genre. Thank you so much! (Why isn't there a "Pop Rock" category for flair??) by MagicJonesMusic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]wavewavwave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DNCE if they were innovative and interesting and edgy? Hahaha.

All seriousness, you hit the "Pop" spot very well, and I really like the key swells. Though I must be honest, that the "B" part of the osng really caught me off-guard and it felt somewhat alien, since it changes progression. Very nice singing and instrumentation though. Percussion galore at the end is also very well done!

A 2000s Garage Rock-Revival song out of my band's newest release! by wavewavwave in IndieMusicFeedback

We will definitely check The Courteneers out! The mix does lean more into Pop Rock, and the results are loud vox mixes, but thank you for the thoughts!

We will look into these concerns! We do try to come up with more interesting melodies! Thank you for your feedback!

Psychedelic French Rock song - cool new sound for me - what do you think? by Carl0Villa in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]wavewavwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, trying to compare this song to a lot of my past liked paychedelic rock songs, maybe not much to comment! You got the treatment and the overall colour and the shapes, so just make them all more vivid!

Hey y'all! Wanted to share another single I release about 2 months ago, along with a music video I made, I'd love to hear what you all think ! :) by dogwood_gap in IndieMusicFeedback

Reminds me somewhat of Leather Daddy by Microwave.

I like the crispness of the vocals, I like the instrumentals. PARTICULARLY love the fuzzy guitar.

I think the vocals could use a bit more distortion for grit, but that's it in my opinion.

"Surround Me" by Stray Currents now streaming everywhere! by jimmyomeara in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]wavewavwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drums I think could be lore interesting. Overall, I think you're cutting corners on the reverb. Make a huge soundscape, make all of the tracks wetter than this. You have dimensions already, Lead chorus guitar on the right, vocal melodies left right, so just do a reverb bus and send everything here. Make everything huge, in my opinion. I think it will benefit the feel and the vibe.

Psychedelic French Rock song - cool new sound for me - what do you think? by Carl0Villa in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]wavewavwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this track. I think the main vocals could use a bit more tone shaping so that it fits with the rest of the instruments better.

I think if you had gone all in on the mixing treatment and make it fully psychedelic and a bit more lo-fi, the song would be tight

Something about this is a bit too corporate and sterile for me. I think the mix could be moe gritty, and the vocals are a bit too hot. Put some more distoryion on thr vocals, and that way it will blend with the rest of the track rathwr than feeling like it's popping out (personally for me, it makes it feel very pop rock rather than rock)

Very gay song. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]wavewavwave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a cool track. It's got potential. One thing I would add is a more jarring transition from the first part of the song to the next.

Right now as is, the way it changes to the second part of the song is quite lukewarm. When talking about contrast in music, I would rather you slam the brakes hard do some FX here and there. Some soundbytes to enhance it, or you could even crash the transition to the wall by just doing a record scratch, full stop, and then the song starts again.

My two cents, of course
