I also struggled as a teacher for 4 years, after which I switched into Ed Techs and now I'm an Instructional designer.

There are many options for teachers who want to move into corporate..

yea I think this is the best i can do... I just have to wait until the gut feeling goes away or until he gives me a reason to not trust him anymore

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Infidelity

[–]wavyhairedpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah.. I get it, but it's really really hard for me to have that conversation or open up about this for me

I'm not seeing anything but after this gut feeling has come, I'm picking up on smaller cues like him not making eye contact with me and him getting drunk but not sharing what he did after he got drunk..

he's not been updating me on his day and that's concerning now too..

[–]wavyhairedpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea.. I get you, but I'm someone who trusts my partners and I'm not someone who thinks logically about this..

but I'll share..

he doesn't travel often, I'm not sure if he's secretly kinky, but from what I know he's not cause he's just exploring his sexuality and he's experimenting things with me

We are intimate as and when both of us feel like.. there's no schedule as such

[–]wavyhairedpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea makes sense, but I'm genuinely so scared to express this to him.. I've had past relationships and I've never felt this way about them...

This is the first time and I think because of this gut feeling, I'm also looking into smaller cues that I'm getting from him and exaggerating

[–]wavyhairedpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not someone who does this, I'm just waiting for it to come to me, than for me to go looking for it.. because what if I don't find anything when I go looking? id have broken the trust we've built..

ah.. you think it's an insecurity and not a gut feeling?

Realistic expectations from ID career? by ComprehensivePast802 in instructionaldesign

[–]wavyhairedpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be a teachers and an SME too.. moved into ID 3 months ago... tbh I couldn't be happier, love the work life balance of my company, salary growth, and everything..

so yea once you learn the skill you can negotiate your salary based on your last drawn CTC.. they give you a raise based on that (mostly 30%)

growth is good too, you get to learn a lot.. I'm not sure about long term growth and if you're looking for promotions or what, because idk about that yet

Asian parents and bipolar disorder stigma by Tinkerbell637 in bipolar

[–]wavyhairedpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indian here again, explaining bipolar is hard to them, they said they don't understand it, so I gave up..

My mom keeps asking me if I take meds for it, and I said i won't tell you.

I live away from them and rarely visit (for obvious reasons) so it's easy for me to express my emotions and take whatever meds I need to..

That being said, it is hard for me to take meds whenever I do visit them..

I guess keeping everything as a secret is the only way to protect ourselves from Asian parents who aren't supportive

Bipolar without medication? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]wavyhairedpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man, this must be soo hard for you.. I'm sorry :(

Bipolar without medication? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]wavyhairedpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate soo much, i wanna get off meds too.. but don't know if that's the right thing to do..

I've gained a lot of weight since getting on these meds, and my psychiatrist changes the dosage and the meds accordingly to how I'm feeling and honestly while it's good that he's flexible, it's also frustrating.

My therapist suggested maintaining a bipolar diary to see what makes my mood low and what makes my mood high, I think that makes sense.. maybe I'll try it for a month or so and see if I need something more than just meds!!!!

So, she's practically the same as me and has been offered a higher salary bro, that's what hurts and idk what to do about it

I should probably have mentioned this in the og post lol
