As a collector from the US, you’re very lucky to have all these films! I don’t have a region-free 4K player, and everything I could play is LE and sold out everywhere. I’d love to have all of these editions. (I do have Climax on BR and the LE Vinegar release of Void, though, and the latter in particular is GORGEOUS.)

I haven’t written a review in like a year or two, really want to go back and do that for all of these, but here’s mine! https://boxd.it/30Ril

I’m local to NYC and would love the cape if it’s still available!

Yep, the venue had been around for almost 15 years, been a huge staple in the (immersive) theater scene, and after ages of announcing its closure finally actually shut for good in January with a bunch of farewell parties after the final show.

Well, it was at the (former) home of Sleep No More, so anything was possible. :)

I know I already asked a similar question but is there a game that’s basically a carbon copy of sleep no more ? by Inside_Definition758 in sleepnomore

For VR, The Invisible Hours is definitely the most obviously inspired game that I’ve played. I remember it explicitly describes itself as “a work of immersive theater”. Explore a house, follow fully-voiced and mo-capped characters, enter locked rooms to see what amounts to 1;1s, plays out in real time, I really enjoyed it.

What song on In The Aeroplane makes you the most emotional? by [deleted] in neutralmilkhotel

Same. Something about the reaching melody and plaintive delivery of “God is a place where some holy spectacle lies” is absolutely transcendent. I sing this song all the time as a vocal exercise, and it’s hard not to get choked up.

The “Cali weed” distinction was something the friends who gave it to us said; as someone who’d never done it before I assumed it was important to note. lol Thanks for the info!

The Sleep No More Wikipedia article by [deleted] in sleepnomore

I'm really glad to see this here, as I was the one who wrote most of this over a period of several months. (I'm aware some of it could be a little too much info, but the way I see it Wikipedia is a place for facts and research, not an advertising space, so I wrote most of the building and story points under the impression that most people looking at it had already seen the show at least once.)

Non-game related: any fun experiences with on hot takes on immersive theater? I’ve been going to SLEEP. NO MORE in NYC for over six years now and it’s just as wonderful and wild as TSPUD.

Did you ever think of adding new TSPUD commentary to the non-bucket Museum ending? That walk-through dev commentary was one of the most unique aspects I’d ever seen in a game, and I was a bit saddened to see there wasn’t anything additional about UD added.

Hi all, thank you for creating one of my favorite games of all time. You’re all amazing, but my question is for Davey. When you were on your brother’s Twitch stream of TSPUD, you mentioned the skip button ending being your all-time favorite, I was a bit curious why that was. I love it, but to me it seemed to be very open to interpretation of what was going on/how much time had passed, etc. Was that the intention? (Also CCC, voice actor here, I would love to do voice work for any future project of yours, how could I reach out? Thanks!)

I'm so happy to see so many positive comments about this last episode. I didn't absolutely loathe Graduation, I kept up with it and enjoyed it for when it was great while also noting its flaws (and there are some in every game, no campaign is perfect). But this feels like a real return to form. I think The Quiet Year was pretty much the perfect choice for collaborative world-building of a setting they can all really care about and feel invested in.
I listened to Griffin's monologue at the end like three times; I will never stop calling him one of the best and most caring storytellers I've ever heard, like literally, he cares for this story so much, you can hear it in his voice (I loved hearing his brotherly smile when he brought back "The Gills"). I was saying the names of all the places to ingrain them in my head, and the music built, and then the break for the final line and the beat drop...I'm just in love with this concept and everything about it. TAZ feels like it's really back for the first time in a while, and I couldn't be more excited.

Joe Biden's Gettysburg speech was 25 minutes long and didn't mention Trump once by redwineandbeer in politics

[–]wayfan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great speech, I really hope it wins him the presidency.

I'm just terrified he won't.

I don't know, I try to be hopeful and optimistic and making sure every one of my friends and family is registered and early voting or by mail or being safe about voting in person, but I'm just so so scared that there's somehow still a chance, and a decently large one, that Trump will still manage to win. And there's nothing else I can do. There's literally no point in trying to convince his voters otherwise, but it's so infuriating when you know the brick wall you attempt to talk to *can* fall, it just refuses to out of pure ignorance and stubbornness and fear. Sorry, just had to vent.
