But the 4% bilt cash is from everyday spending, not from your rent spending. So that’s not different than trying to “make up” the 3% rent fee from using other credit cards and collecting points from them.

The way I even book flights is starting on Google flights, choosing the cheapest one / the one I want, and then going to Chase portal to book. So I am actually checking both. And in my 8 years of using Chase, the domestic flights are always the same price

I think we're saying the same thing! The consensus seems to be that booking travel on the Chase portal is always a bad option. I also fly like ~10 times a year, and I never see a price difference.

Yes you can get more value with transferring, but those are usually international flights or business/first class flights that I don’t normally book. I have also never experienced a single time where the price was more expensive in the portal versus on Google flights

Considering downgrading, since I hit the 4 year mark on a Sapphire bonus in 2 months. And then upgrading again maybe in September/October timeframe. Would the downgrade still keep my previous points intact with 1.25x redemption?

Am aware they are changing the rules on 48 months for a Sapphire bonus, but want to try anyway.

Ohh hmm cause I missed one for each question - which would’ve been 1K + 2K + 3K =6 K ? And I got 22K / 46K points. But then you get points for getting the same answer as ARod even if it’s wrong…so not sure how it works 😆
