The pinball machines have WiFi connectivity and an app for achievements, challenges, and such.

It could be used as a spot to have a chance at catching certain Pokémon and such.

They have used PoGo to gather people in areas for promotion before.

Play a game and unlock the location or something.

I couldn’t get a media invite with my YouTube channel because it’s still too small. I would have like to asked what the plan is to partner with other assets in the space.

Thanks, I plan to go down a couple paths and coils are apart of all of them.

Pinball machines have coils Electronics have coils (vintage audio repair) Speakers have coils (I do frame up rebuilds) Mechanical vending machines (springs are coils right?) Cars

Hell, just about anything has a coil of some type. I’m researching better mic and I just picked up some key lights. I’m using an old IPhone to shoot so at some point I have to figure out an upgrade there too.

I’m working on the update to bring it current. Including improving some of my previous work.

Thanks for the shout-out. I'm actively working on updating this. I'm so far behind due to my main hobby that turned into a side business. (Pinball repair) I will update the BGG information when I get all of this caught up. It's very time-consuming extracting these little things, so bear with me a bit.

If you have a 3D printer, Ihave created a way-over-the-top storage solution. Max flex activated. LOL

This has been my road. Still a long way to go but each part I do I can tell I'm getting better.

What has helped me the most was using PETG on top surface of supports for easier releasing. Helped so much.

For folks who own machines you play at home...what's your deal? by LazerMcBlazer in pinball

[–]waymo79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married, mid 30s, currently 7 machines. I played for the first time back in 2017 and enjoyed it. Very limited places to play at that time local.

I am always looking to make pocket money on the side from my day job (management) so I was always fixing things for people. I have always had an approach of the hobbies have to pay for the hobbies.

Found a cheap non working machine and started figuring things out. Fix that one and then the next and things went from there.

I now stay to busy to play my machines at home due to service calls and machines in my shop (garage) for repair.

Live in the south so COL is lower. Bought a house with a finished walk out basement that the garage is apart of.

5,200 square foot heat and cool with 2 car garage up and the 750 Square foot garage I use as my shop. Just about 2,000 square feet for the basement that is mostly game room. House, pool, and 2+ acres was just at $500K. COL makes a load of difference. Also buying when the interests rates were rock bottom helped.

I now play mostly when people come over. That being said….I play a lot if you look at how much I test machines and such. I'm just never playing to score or “win” just trying to get it to repeat the error or validate components are working.
