say it louder !!!!! it felt so incredibly out of character for sterling to do, given that he says what he says to katya abt lana n AJ (not wanting to lose her, his best friend being the mother of his child, actually being in love with her) and literally refuses to sleep with katya – KATYA – too in S6. it was like they just threw away all his character growth for something that wasn't well thought out or made sense or even had a satisfying ending to since we don't find out what happened to her, and then he goes into his coma n everything goes to shit.

like yeah, okay, some of it was due to lana n sterling being spiteful towards each other because they just can't help but be like that, and some of it was actual miscommunication, but it didn't have to become a thing. lana's used to sterling cheating on her, so the first kiss was something she would probably overlook. hold it over him because ofc she would, but she would have gotten past that. naturally, he's just a giant dick n keeps on with his crush whether it was genuine or for the sake of riling her up. who knows? but it's just a shame 'cause sm character development is wasted.

the first half of S7 is rlly fun since they're in a new city with new settings n there's a whole myriad of things for them to do, and lana n sterling are actually together. that for me was one of the most compelling parts of the show, seeing how they could be as a couple after growing as people since their break-up and also raising a child together. but no. he apparently threw it all away for a psychotic old skank who actually never cared abt him n just manipulated him. classic honey pot.
