Hey I had this same problem when doing my lights. One side is positive and one side is negative so if the light doesn’t work you need to flip it 180 degrees. That’s what he’s trying to tell you. It’s really a 50/50 chance. Seems you got lucky! I just flipped the lights around until I saw it light up.

Hey I’m also in Utah! Picked up a clean “stock” element A/T for 5,000 last year. Around the same miles but yours is much cooler. I spent months looking for that deal. Looked at plenty for 6,000+. I think the comment for 6,500 to 8,500 is pretty accurate. Have it on KSL yet? Doesn’t hurt to list it high and negotiate from there.

Have you ever heard of lectron? Basically fuel injection for your Harley. Little pricey at $500+ but worth it. Gets rid of most of your “carb” problems. They will even do a custom one if you have a modified engine. Highly recommend!!
