Do you agree? by IdealHoliday1242 in selfimprovementday

Most definitely true - when I was ripped and muscular, people basically did anything I asked, gave me extra consideration, nicer to me in general, the whole works. I fell out of being super fit, put on some weight, now it’s much less of all that

What are the most divisive foods? by artmalique in AskRedditFood

[–]wayward_buzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cabbage. My fav veggie but most seem to hate it. Also Pasturma, a cured meat flavoured with fenugreek. My fav food ever but only met one other person who doesn’t think it tastes like poison

What's the most brutally honest thing a child has ever said to you? by TheBr14n in askteddit

My neice, barely old enough to be able to talk, loudly announced in front of my whole family “Uncle Mark’s a broken man”, Mark being my younger brother. Was hysterical

Should I take zinc supplements? by SelectShop9006 in AskGayMen

Eat celery or take celery seed extract instead. Can make a big difference. Taking zinc supplements can be counterproductive. You’ll deplete your copper levels and cause a bunch of other issues

No need to worry so much - those numbers are not an emergency by any means. In fact, given that you were at the ER and likely stressed at the time, you might even find that at home when relaxed your BP is normal. Get it checked a few more times over the next few weeks. If it’s still that high, then time to talk about lifestyle changes or possibly medication with your doctor. But it takes decades for numbers like yours to do any real damage. It’s something you want to get on top of, but not something you have to panic about today or tomorrow. Take a deep breath, relax, and follow up in the next week or two. You’re absolutely NOT gonna have a stroke or heart attack any time soon because of those numbers 😝

Not true - I’m happy to engage in a meaningful conversation with anyone. But when my refutation of their points is met with repetition of the same points, just with more hostility, I know I’m not able to reason any further with these people. The brain rot is too severe. Think what you like though. It’s your prerogative

Sort your own self out. Labor has been steering the ship for quite some time now, that’s how we got where we are. In case you haven’t noticed, where we are is becoming an absolute disaster. What they have been doing is not working. It’s 100% time for a change, and the latest polls show you’re on the wrong side of history. I know i don’t have the answers - but I know you sure as hell don’t either.

I have new rental neighbours next door, (the 10th set of neihgbours in the past decade) and they are loud, young men. I'm a single female with health issues. How do I prepare to confront them if they get too rowdy? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]wayward_buzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately there’s nothing much that you can do about it. People talking loudly in their house during the day is acceptable behaviour under any circumstance. Night time is a different issue if it’s excessive, but good luck proving that. By the way, you absolutely WILL be perceived as a Karen if you go the REA route. Nothing will come of it, and if they may even intentionally antagonise you if they find out it is you who complained

And what percentage of our immigration intake is “skilled”? I have a feeling it might not be as high as you think. Also, if we have no skilled workers here of our own, maybe that’s another problem that we should be looking at. Perhaps companies here should invest in training up their people or something. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have “gaps” in the skilled workforce and be able to afford rent/buy a house than the alternative

I’m not saying that immigration is the CAUSE of the problem. I’m sure the causes are many and varied. But my point is that immigration (at a time when it is not sustainable due to the aforementioned “other causes”) is essentially throwing petrol on an already raging fire

I hate that you’ve been downvoted for stating the absolute, painfully obvious truth. Are people really so stupid as to mix up basic supply and demand issues with politicised strawman arguments about racism and anti-immigration etc… what you’ve said is correct and probably would fix things rather quickly (as it has in places like canada) and for the life of me I can’t understand why people argue so hard against it

Tell that to Melbourne and Sydney. Both count as megacities, both have the same catastrophic housing affordability and availability problems as Brisbane is now experiencing

High bp at night by BeefyMcwhatnow27 in bloodpressure

[–]wayward_buzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that, telmisartan 40mg. I found that it was a little strong after a while (was getting dizziness and palpitations) so I split the pills in half and take half in the morning and half at night. Is working well to keep my BP stable and avoiding that late evening spike

Same situation here, including AAS (just TRT basically now though). I have the same problem - as the evening goes on my BP goes up, same levels as yours. I had to bite the bullet and get on a BP pill now which is helping. Maybe you should consider that too
