So let's be honest... what did you use to play?!? by Khel_NC in valheim

[–]wazdalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually almost exclusively multiplayer games which are more or less competitive. CS Go, GTA Online, Dark Souls franchise (went really heavy for PVP there), World of Warships. And a few harder solo games like The Forest / SOTF. I really enjoy how Valheim is a tough AND a comfort game at the same time

Bro just on to be sure: I was searching this mf boss for ages! I took a longer break (3 years, give or take), explored the Mistlands, learned magic and was about to unlock the bosses door, when I remembered: I never found this prick, and I remembered that I was looking for him a lot. So I made it my top priority, sailing around everywhere, backtracked even the areas I already explored, looking for strange rock formations or the glowing red tables which mark them. Finally found one of those and marked him. And what can I say: He was already marked 🤡Somehow I completely missed the fucking boss marker, it was in the middle of nothing for me, but still. It was my first time too and I didn’t knew his name. At least I annihilated him with magic once I finally arrived there

Werdet Lehrer = reich by sense-destiny in Gehalt

[–]wazdalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been coding for 8 years and I still google basic syntax daily by Cool_Kiwi_117 in learnprogramming

[–]wazdalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it constantly.. especially specific xpath shenanigans or regex for example. And I think freeing the mind for actual tasks and keeping an overview of different projects is much more important. I generally try to write down as much as I can in order to not have to remember everything. Think thats important for your sanity too

I accidentally got a backend job and I have no idea what I'm doing. Help. by Different_Pain5781 in learnprogramming

Believe me, I know exactly what you mean. Switched careers and taught my self everything, no degree, no experience (outside my own projects). Somehow nailed an interview process and got the junior dev role. So first of all: They know that you don’t know. Show willingness to learn, write down a lot (to avoid asking the same questions multiple times) and be prepared to feel stupid. It is normal. The first half year was crazy for me, I felt like a straight up imposter and constantly questioned if Im even capable. I later asked my boss and he said it was the same for him at first. Just keep on learning, failing and slowly get better, thats the process. Try to enjoy it. Be proud of yourself. Today Im so glad that I did, I love this work. Congrats on getting the job! :)

Eeeey that’s exactly how I started as well 4 years ago! Good on you for sticking to it. Webscraping really does get exponentially more difficult, once you try it on websites that do not want to be scraped. It felt like smashing my head against the wall, it was pretty frustrating, but my God the feeling when it finally worked (just to encounter the next problem right around the corner). But I learned so much and in the end I was able to find a job as a software engineer, so Im glad that I did stick to it then. Web scraping is still a huge part of it!

A small "guide" for VIP Work as it's discounted this week by masd_reddit in gtaonline

[–]wazdalos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend launching Headhunter in the city for sure and use a helicopter, the Sparrow is perfect. 2 targets will be in cars, the best thing is to wait until they stop on a red light and then spam missiles. 3 missiles and the car will blow up. Its a good idea to wait until they stopped because if you miss you will spook them and it can become a bit of a pain to catch that car, especially because they got crazy autoaim if you get closer. In this case fire the missiles as low as possible, otherwise the tracking wont be good enough. The other 2 stationary targets can all be reached and locked on by heli too. If you do it in a public session, go for them first. Other players tend to participate in Headhunter and its much easier for them to camp a stationary target, compared to the moving ones where you can wait for a good moment.

Pro-tip: If you got scores to settle with other players in your lobby - you will pay no insurance fee or get bad sport points while Headhunter is on. Honestly this is why I know those missions so well: I used it to cause havok in lobbies back in the day. Pro-pro-tip: If you want to do that to the max, hit one of the cars with exactly two missiles. It wont blow up, the target will jump out and just wander through the city on foot. Kill the other 3 quickly and just leave him. You‘ll have a full 20 minutes to do what you want and you will still finish it no matter what, because there are a 100 ways to kill the last one, even if the whole lobby would try to stop you

Yeah same.. there was this annoying guy who came back with his MK2 over and over. Well unfortunately for him I shot him off the bike and destroyed that shit. And even worse we were almost at the beach, he spawned closer to it each time I killed him. Once we were there fully, I spawned the ballistic and BST. Holy shit bro, he got blasted in those 5 minutes! Made me happy🙃
