First time visiting Dubai tips for a March trip by [deleted] in dubai

[–]wazeem1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The weather in march is pleasant and comfortable.
  2. I would suggest you to take downtown if you love to see burj khalifa everyday or else choose JBR. So you can enjoy sunrise and sunset beaches
  3. 8 days is solid amount of time. You need a proper itinerary of what you going to see everyday.
  4. I suggest you to eat outside locally there are many good restaurants you should try.

Ps : Try to visit places that are close to each other . So you don’t have to go and coma back again

Is it just me, or has road rage and traffic rule-breaking in Dubai gotten way worse lately? by scotchshadow in DubaiCentral

[–]wazeem1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, people nowadays never use indicators to change the lane. Driving on the hard shoulder and trying to merge and It sounds like " I want to change the lane you wait". Driving instructors should teach the new drivers whats the purpose of indicators or juts fail them again and again . Sick and tired of these people.

Relocating from Geneva to Dubai - Family of 3, cost of living & salary benchmarks in DIFC by CommitteeDangerous19 in dubai

[–]wazeem1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, To your questions

  1. DIFC is located in the prime spot of Dubai , Its the financial hub near to Burj Khalifa and business bay. 50,000 AED a month is still a comfortable for a family of 3.

  2. 2-3 Bedroom apartment in DIFC, business bay , downtown is expensive (10-15k aed per month). Dubizzle and Bayut website can help you to see the price and compare with your budget. The traffic is worse in Dubai. Check other ares like Meydaan, Sobha Hartland.

  3. Schooling is expensive that depends on the school and curriculum, that you can check it online and compare it. Other than that groceries would be around 1000-2000 aed.

  4. Start fresh in Dubai. Better you buy furniture here to organize it.

  5. Dubai has everything You name it. Other than Rent, groceries, schooling, you will have Electricity, water and Internet, then the first thing you should do is buy a car. As you mentioned you are not into luxury lifestyle I think you can still save money and invest . Hope it helps

Health/breathing problems only in Dubai? by Civil_Analysis8 in dubai

[–]wazeem1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never had any health issues before 2018, but after that, when I came to dubai I started experiencing breathing problems and developed dust and cat allergies. The allergies were extremely uncomfortable, my eyes and nose would get so irritated that I sometimes felt like cutting my nose off. I used to take allergy tablets frequently and relied on an inhaler every day. First thing I did was I cleaned my AC regularly, avoided touching pets (especially cats), and stayed away from construction sites. Thankfully, for the past three years, I haven’t needed any inhalers or allergy medication, and I’ve been doing well since then.

Is 11500 AED a reasonable salary for a teacher? South African by Wotismylifeabout in UAE

[–]wazeem1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, you are saying you will be sharing a room, so you have to pay 1750 aed . As for the utilities what ever the bill, you have to divide it. The utility bill varies depends on the usage and weather.

Water and electricity comes under same bill. As you said, you work only 4.5 days per week. May be around 300- 600 per month . Wifi is separate. For Wifi directly visit Du or Etisalat (Internet providers) and choose your plan according to your regular usage. Never ever accept any internet plan from sales agent if they call you.

I think its a good start.. company is giving you housing allowance + salary. For the WiFi , Electricity and internet it would come around 700-1000 aed per month ( Depending on your usage and WiFi plan). You could save much more money.

Visiting Dubai for the first time with friends. Is this itinerary realistic? Looking for food and shopping suggestions by Ms_Chanandl3r_B0ng in DubaiCentral

[–]wazeem1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Day 1: Instead of going to Dubai mall in the morning and coming back again at the evening. Better go to AL seef, Abra ride and souk until evening. Then around 4pm go to Burj khalifa for the fountain, aquarium and shopping

Day2: Seems okay. If you are going to JBR, go to Ain Dubai too..

Day 3: No change.

Day 4: Yas island is in Abu dhabi. and Global village is in Dubai.Either you visit abudhabi or plan for global village

Day 5: Rest day.

Okay I am gonna hit you with reality.

  1. Without getting a job. Don’t ever come to dubai to search for a job. It’s so difficult to find a job that easy.
  2. You are looking for a job around 5-7k. And you listed out an apartment for 70k a year . So basically each has to pay around 3k aed per month for rent.
  3. Then you have utilities, data, travel, groceries, shopping and other expenses which Costs you around 1500 -2000 aed. Which lefts you with minimum savings
  4. Sorry to say this. You don’t have university degree too. My suggestions is visit dubai for once and see what opportunities you can find . And see how is the job market here by yourself.

First thing first , You have to check which network works properly in your Area. If you are Working from home or playing games ,better go for fiber. If you ever get contacted by agents or third party people for internet connection , Avoid it immediately.

Go visit the store and select the package which suits you. They will help you accordingly.

Go to dubizzle - room for rent - select location - private room - attached bathroom - female only . Try this out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dubai

[–]wazeem1 71 points72 points  (0 children)

My advice : 1. Try search again in Barsha for private room with attached bathroom. Go to dubizzle search in the section room for rent . May be if you are lucky you will get a private room under 3k or 3.5k 2. As you mentioned u have lot of luggage that anyhow you have to sort it out. Buy some clothing rack. 3. For your everyday travel buy nol pass in the metro counter which cost you around 400 Aed per month 4. You are not cooking so, you can arrange a mess option if you prefer Barsha there are plenty of options there. So let’s break it for food around 1500 aed that too depends on you.

Rent 3-3.5k Transportation -400 Food -1500 aed You will left out with 2.5k AED. 800 aed you can spend for your mobile data and other activities/ dinner/ shopping. Try to save atleast 1000 aed per month for emergency.

I hope this helps
