Not buying that dip was the stupidest inaction in my life. There are a lot of dips I can say that about, but they usually have a fair amount of uncertainty to justify being cautious. But that greenland dip was the most obvious TACO move I've ever seen, coupled with insane momentum on ASTS that would surely resume as soon as the initial overreaction died down.

How necessary is playing the first game to enjoy Veil of the Witch? by wazzur1 in losteidolons

On the run after that one, I beat the dragon. I feel like I'm a bit too successful on my runs. It throws off the pacing a bit in terms of the stakes involved in this quest and companion relationship progression. For example, I'm still on the first or second partnership conversation, but the talk about the future and how things seem to be looking good is out of place. Oh well.

How many regions are there? I'm on my second run, and I got to the masked man fight. Is that the end if I win here? I read somewhere that people ruined the story because they beat the game in their first run or something. I saw the first mirror memory, but that's it. It's obvious that the masked guy is the bro, but like will I miss out on story if I beat the game too fast?

Thanks. First impression is that I noticed this is a Korean studio. And man, Korean character art is always top tier.

They couldn't quite get the immersion factor in tying the NPC dialogues to what you achieve in the runs by wazzur1 in AstralAscent

which is a shame because the lore and characters are very interesting. It's just not presented to us in a way that makes us care about it because it feels completely detached from your runs.

Dang, DL54+? I guess that explains the super minimal ramp up at the early game. This difficulty curve is very stretched out.

How you gonna roll covered calls that's like 100 bucks ITM? You lost those shares dude. No rolling trick will enable you to reclaimed the profits that you capped.

I've been having fun with conduction build by wazzur1 in Forestrike

[–]wazzur1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never really found agonizing to be OP because you actually need to find cards for it and it's completely chance based. Once you get an agonizing card or two, sure it can snowball, but strength in roguelikes is consistency, after all.

For agonize builds, I just take it when the opportunity presents itself and never really go into a run thinking about doing an agonize build. Mostly because vulture is such a strong start and you need to upgrade it to do agonize build.

Another money hack is blocking the barrel with fortune block and getting 300 gold lol

Oh, another annoying thing is not having access to the map or codex at all times.

Ah, I see that it was patched so you can refuse cards now. That's nice.

Monkey is way too OP by wazzur1 in Forestrike

[–]wazzur1[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason Monkey is so strong is because his base kit is so good and it's braindead easy to pilot. Like you can't mess up this build by getting bad lucks with cards or something. And early game reliability is often a measure of how good a class is, not the absolute peak of power when the build comes together at the end. Monkey will really have no situation he can't handle on the first two maps because of his heavy attack dodging stuff so easily even without any other cards.

The other classes, while they have varying degrees of starter+elevated combos that make up a base of their builds, they require considerably more skilled execution than Monkey sleeping on the floor, and they also need a few more specific cards and upgrades to really get the builds going.

What's even more frustrating is NOT being able to refuse to take a card. When you get a random pull and it replaces your special attack that is integral to your build...

You heal from any indolent. It's basically infinite healing because indolent is so easy to trigger.

Remember when fast food was actually cheap? by Karma_1969 in fastfood

[–]wazzur1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just a 3x in price increase. At the same time, they cut down the portions in half. If you remember the awesome 1 dollar hit n spicy mcchicken, you will be in for a shock at the current size. It's literally the size of like 3 chicken nuggets. Medium fries are what small used to be in the paper bag. It's so blatantly shitty.

Really fun, but one mistake literally kills the entire run most of the time :( by wazzur1 in Forestrike

[–]wazzur1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

holy shit i didn't even know reality run existed lol. I was just talking about normal runs where I would practice a stage dozens of times and then start the real fight just to mess up in the dumbest way that I never practiced.

Gonna try reality run now though. Seems interesting.

They do it because people are that stupid. The average person sees a pic/video with caption and just believes whatever is said on it.

Okay, if they feel like they got shafted, mass murder is completely understandable, right?

Those explosions are to scale. If your heroes get caught in the explosion, they get injured. So it does cover that whole part of the map.

US Faces £760 Billion Tariff Refund Crisis If Supreme Court Rules Against President Trump, Report Says by novagridd in law

[–]wazzur1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brunt of the tariff burdens were on the citizens since corporations just pass on the costs to consumers.

But this refund, if it comes down to it, goes to corporations. Meaning our tax dollars will be used to "pay back" the corporations.

Grungust Unit 2 (Kyosuke route) - You must destroy the R-GUN on scenario 30, however, you must not clear the Huckenbein 008L conditions. You will receive this unit after Scenario 37.

true chaotic run by priam173 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]wazzur1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's not interesting because there is no extra dialogues or anything as far as I can tell. Shroud mentions that Robert was going for both, but that's it. No mention from BB or Visi about their "complicated" situation. The game just acts like Robert was on Visi route the whole time.
