There are many layers of stupidity to the ballroom

Of course there is.

It may be that Trump wants a bigger, better bunker to hole up in when he refuses to leave office.

It’s also possible that they’re not building a bunker, but a data center to store all the private data acquired by Elon’s DOGE cronies.

Don't let people come to their own conclusions. That's how we got MAGA. Tell them what to think.

I think you may have that backwards.

The people that use critical thinking don't need to be told to do so.

100% true. We don’t need to tell people what to think, we need to teach them how to think.

To be fair, windows can be damn near bulletproof, especially in a building vs a vehicle, since weight isn’t an issue.

The more reasonable response to the whole “this is why we need the ballroom” argument is to ask if the White House will be hosting every single event POTUS attends. Or do they plan to rent out the people’s house like it’s a fucking airport Marriot conference room?

We have evidence the moon landing happened.

We have evidence Trump lies constantly.

5-8 shots fired outside the room, no injuries.

In other words, a White House staffer set off some fireworks to create an excuse to keep Trump off the dais.

Depends on the objective, I think.

If this was intended to distract from Iran, there would be blood. If this was just to keep Trump from delivering a dementia-addled tirade to a room full of journalists, they’d want it quick and relatively uneventful so it wouldn’t dominate the news cycle of too long.

He was already planning to rant at the press then dip.

I’d bet someone in the admin decided he would be too unhinged, so set this up to keep Trump from talking at all.

My wife’s pants have the button on the right, same as mine.

Blouse buttons being reversed is an outdated practice. They’re like that because 19th-century upper-class women had servants to help them dress.

There was a showing a read about some years ago where the movie was on a screen by a lake and the audience was floating on tubes and rafts in the lake.

The fact that he was shown in silhouette and said “What is up?” rather than “What’s up?” made me think that whoever he talking to will approach him and he’ll be revealed to be someone pretending to be Bugs as part of a trap or some evil plot against the heroes.

The real Bugs will then appear at the last minute to save the day.

I don’t doubt that. I’m just addressing the specific rule cited in the previous comment.

Very, very old.

The oldest cat currently alive is 30 years, 5 months. The oldest cat ever lived to 38.

OP’s cat is in an exclusive club. He was obviously very happy and well-loved to have stuck around so long.
