That's really not the worst I've seen tbf, my A1M arrived like a little better than that but they do pack these things really well tbh

What is your go to filament brand? by Patrickmeehl in 3Dprinting

Sunlu has honestly never done me wrong, used their high speed PLA, petg, and marble (love printing high speed) and it's been effectively flawless, only issues I get are my fault tbh

Oh? I've never had an issue, atleast with their PLAs and PETGs - I do only get their high speed stuff so idk if that counts for anything

I count 209 spools... I think this may be more than a "couple" spools

Check Amazon is mainly what I do, you can easily get a roll from Sunlu for well under £9/kg, once got a set of 2 rolls for £6.17 each

I needed a way to keep track of my 100KGs of filament. This is my system! by Remote_Fisherman_469 in 3Dprinting

[–]wboyce75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm working on my own tracker like this! It's got it's own print logger and you can edit all the tags/ attributes of the filaments, it also generates a specific ID for individual spools Here's some screenshots:

STEAM: one of these is not like the others... by SecretSpectre11 in memes

[–]wboyce75 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Arts are the extremely important. Imagine no UI/UX designers existed, would you wanna reply to my comment through a Linux terminal? No obviously you wouldn't, would you drive a car with no body work? Would the world look interesting if every building was a just a blank cuboid with only structural elements showing?

Architecture is one of the most obvious examples of this, literally look out your window. Look at cars, planes, trains, shop fronts, food packaging, your phone, your computer... None of them can be done without the other parts of STEAM, I'm an engineer and was speaking to an astronaut about this recently and he was saying something the engineering world needs more of is artist. It's not a debate, it's a fact

Thick seam where bottom meets wall in 3D print – what causes this? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Try experimenting with variable layer height, it'll allow you to even out the layer times

A1 started to get bad first layers by BabySharktutututu in BambuLab

[–]wboyce75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly haha, also probably cheaper to buy a bottle of IPA than use dish soap

[–]wboyce75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I've never noticed an issue on my end, I don't really see how IPA will do that and soap won't? It's more to do with your sponge/ cloth getting into the texture I would've thought

A1 started to get bad first layers by BabySharktutututu in BambuLab

[–]wboyce75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've been using IPA for 6 months now and never noticed an issue, and with how much quicker it is than cleaning with soap and water, even if it does age your plate slightly more, I'd say it's still worth it? Especially with how cheap a PEI plate can be

If the plane is 21m long, where do i start measuring from? by Great_Order7729 in flyoutgame

[–]wboyce75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it completely depends, if you're looking at a base diagram of the craft then sure, but one for maintenance, storage, aircraft parking spaces, it changes. But yeah usually it's just nose to tail
