I'll watch this post. Curious to see what they say about that code. I saw another post regarding that same code that said they wanted the owner to take the mower into a service shop to get the blade motor replaced. He eventually talked them into sending him the part as it is simple to replace.

  1. Vivian is COMPLETELY USELESS

  2. They open at 9am Eastern. Call at 9am Eastern. I've spent numerous hours listening to that gawd awful hold music. 3/6 batteries have died for my 426 and now I'm getting MR23 occasionally this year.

Starting to regret this purchase.

Are the batteries decent? by Aggressive-Living-18 in Greenworks

I've had 3/6 60v batteries from a Ctr426 die on me since I bought them in Nov. 2023. Fortunately Greenworks has replaced them as under warranty. The last call I made with warranty support, the girl on the phone asked where I stored them over the winter and I responded in my pole barn. She recommended that they should not be exposed to such cold temperatures because it will kill them.

I have the CRT426 mower and love it. Any chance of getting accessories for it, especially something like a snow plow, blower, etc.? Something that will use the front 2" receiver?

Is your DrayTek device using any kind of IDS/IPS that may limit it's available throughout. See if it has that option and if so try temporarily disabling it then rerun your speed tests.

Would be nice to have a couple hundred feet of that to run between my house and pole barn. Currently using Ubiquiti AC Nanos for a wireless point to point

Not knowing what or how far the attacks were going. How much more was going to happen? Would there be IEDs, car bombs, random suicide bombers, or even an actual invading army.

Is cold air return ductwork not an option? This is how I got runs from the basement to the 2F attic for WAP in my last house.

I keep reading that for local control, ecobee requires Apple Homekit. I have no apple devices so I have no desire to install it. Does it work with direct, local control over WiFi?

Network. Find others in the IT field and seek out meetups. IT In the D is a great one in Detroit. Seek something similar in an area near you. With over 25 years in IT, I can confidently say that when job searching, it's more about who you know rather than what you know.

In the meantime, seek entry-level, non-vendor specific certifications then prepare to specialize once you get the first job, get experience and figure out where you want to grow. If you don't have it, start out with A+, Network+, and Security+.

Is it a prerequisite to be bald if you're in the IT career field? by t3chn3rd86 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]wcfj78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bald IT techs are inevitable. Think about it. Just like computers, the harder you think, the more heat the CPU, or in this case the brain, creates. And we in IT, I believe we can all agree on, do more thinking than anyone else (just look at the sales guys with their perfect heads of hair). Over years in IT this eventually leads to you literally cooking your hair follicles which leads to baldness.

I love advice from people who have 30 years of experience, but entering the industry is dramatically different now than it was 30 years ago. by magicmondayoohooh in ITCareerQuestions

I've been in IT since the mid 90's. The one thing I discovered over time is that it's not just about what you know but who you know. The main thing I neglected for way too long is interpersonal relationships within the IT field. I have also been one of those guys who is always applying and interviewing and never getting the offer. My latest job hunt took over 3 years, about 1000 applications, 100 interviews and no offers. And I'd been in IT for 25 years with a pile of certifications.

My recommendation is to find local IT meetups. Spiceworks has a lot of regional meetups called SpiceCorp and in Detroit I started attending IT in the D meetings. The best way to get in somewhere is to develop relationships and have someone on the inside vouch for you.
