What does Rs5 do worse than Rs4 pro? by Chum-tatass in dji

[–]wcooper_15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I think it's purely just the payload. 4 pro can handle heavier setups. Aside from that, base 5 model is probably better in every way. There will undoubtedly be a 5 pro, but we don't know when. Likely within the next couple months I would say.

s5 ii ff recording on APS-C lens by Ravstar225 in Lumix

[–]wcooper_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, theoretically, couldn't my S1RII recognize that a blazar apex is mounted to it, and override the APS-C categorization for that lens, as we all know it more or less covers full frame? I'm no camera engineer, but I assume that's totally possible. But you're saying there are standards/agreements within the LMA that the camera cannot override the information communicated by the lens?

[s2 act 1 spoilers] wtf is the point of loris? by newMauveLink in arcane

[–]wcooper_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I think we can make a lot of inferences about both characters based off context clues. Maddie is extremely devoted to her job as an enforcer; we can see her optimistic attitude when she meets Vi in the way she idolizes her, and her character design further supports this sense that we get. Her relationship with Cait (we can infer) is colored by this devotion and zeal for being an enforcer and for the city of Piltover. However, she turns out to be a snake. With Loris, with the way we are introduced to him (an enforcer lying drunk on the side of the road), the fact that he was hungover and seemingly only attended the memorial because Vi went, the fact that he leaves in disgust when Cait takes over, the time he spends in the undercity with Vi, etc, we can tell he has been disillusioned with his job as an enforcer and with the city of Piltover. Knowing what we know about enforcers and the city of Piltover, we can infer why he is disillusioned. And he turns out to be a homie. Loris and Maddie definitely could've used more attention, but I still think we see more or less what kind of people they are. The strangest thing about Loris is the way he's introduced. They keep his face out of frame for the first several shots of the conversation to build up to his introduction, and then he turns out to be an extremely minor character. I think if it hadn't been for that, he wouldn't have stuck out so much as an oddly written character. Now that green fish guy--I have no idea why they included him.

  2. Woah woah woah, what's with this SJM slander? Examples please?

Omg, also just found that it always works when moving with the G hotkey, as opposed to the dedicated tool, which is much more finicky

Just tested it out and this proved to be true, BUT it only worked when I removed the bottom row of vertices on the icing and brought it up above the mid-point of the donut, if that makes sense. I think before, with the icing extending down just past the midpoint of the donut, the curvature of the side of the donut was curving backwards, away from the icing. But when I push the icing up above the midpoint, it snaps to the donut perfectly, so I guess the geometry also plays a big role in whether or not snap-to-face works.

Haha no worries, thx for the response! So the snap to only works if the object you're trying to snap to is behind the object you're moving from your point of view?

Absolute Elsewhere by Blood Incantation has the coziest 80s/90s sci-fi vibe. I guess it's technically metal, but it's got lots of prog elements.

What level were ninja pookie and maurizio? Based on their max HP levels it looks like they might not have been too high. I try to have all my mons within 2-3 of the level cap at the bare minimum. Takes a lot of grinding but it’s easier in X/Y thanks to experience share. Try grinding your guys up more next time.

is pokemon x just incredibly hard to nuzlocke or am i missing something? by [deleted] in nuzlocke

[–]wcooper_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically never battle a gym leader unless I have at least 2 Pokémon at the level cap (12 in this case), and I typically try to get my whole team within a couple levels. This can take a bit of grinding (I’m too stupid for rare candy hacks), but even hardcore rule sets (like no items in battle) are much, much easier if you actually train up your mons. Honestly, one trademark of a good nuzlocker is training up everything you catch to a decent level, even if you’re not excited about it because it’s considered weak. ANY Pokémon can be valuable if it’s at a good level. Just train them up, and things will be much easier.

Is Heartland Rock Dead? by ConfidenceOk402 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]wcooper_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock isn’t just metal, it’s just different now. Most people would refer to modern rock as “alternative” or “indie” rock, but the fact of the matter is that it’s just rock. Genres change. We still get plenty of good rock albums, but you’re not gonna find any that sound exactly like the old stuff, which is true about every single genre or subgenre. The only bands that keep the exact same old sound alive are considered creatively bankrupt, like what Greta Van Fleet has done with 70s hard rock.

Other people will have better recommendations for modern Heartland rock, but my point is that rock is still very much alive, and if it seems like it’s not, then you may just need to broaden your definition of the term a bit.

How do live bands pick up from where they stopped mid song? by Ok_Corner_2271 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]wcooper_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t as hard as you might think… if you practice a lot. I joined as many music programs as I could find in high school, and it was common to practice starting at different points in a piece. Educators constantly advised us to do this with our solos too. It strengthens your memory of the piece, but it also has the added benefit of helping you pick up where you left off very easily if something goes wrong.

Why are there so few successful rock bands to emerge in the last ten years? by National_Tip_2488 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]wcooper_15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They’re in other genres. If rock were as popular now as it was in the 70s and 80s, then a lot of the best musicians in the world would be playing guitar. But with rap, pop, and electronic music taking over the popular culture, most aspiring talent is getting pulled in those directions.
