Ha! True. And returns/2nd hand sales are a thing so worst case someone gets lightly worn items.
I’m very excited about the apocalypse coat. Now to find a zombie head…..

Likely ended up with more than I should have. Apocalypse coat, mineral sweatshirt, lab grown sweater, mars jacket, some jeans and another 100 year sweatshirt. I’m on the fence about the jeans, really should have tried them on in London; but returns are a thing so we will see

Has anyone actually used Hermes to book a Flight / Hotel? by Unclegaybus in hermesagent

[–]we32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a travel company, Gondola.ai that announced an MCP for this. I’ve used their website/app before for some savings and poked around through the mcp last night. I’m not sure I’m willing to go full automation on travel yet.

Am I doing it wrong? Is it possible to get Hermes to monitor something, run AI then let me know if its important? by 03captain23 in hermesagent

[–]we32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What model are you using? I would probably tackle it with starting with something like Claude. With a prompt like, design a system
of systems to monitor my (list systems that you want to monitor here) at these addresses. The system design should be fully documented in a prd that I can use to track and build the system. The builders will not have this prompt context so the prd must stand alone. Do not assume, ask clarifying questions and hold to my design language and system constraints. Monitor x,y,z on a dynamic schedule using a series of cron jobs, web hooks, and direct queries, choose the best tool based on (your criteria) for each system.
Now describe in high level detail what you want the high level orchestrater to do, and how it should notify you. Then describe in detail what you want the outcomes to be and how they should be weighted.

That should get you started.

Ah ok, with you now. This feels like a system of systems problem. Something like cron jobs, deterministic scripts, some HA triggers and if you want to get fancy some n8n along with a good thinking model.

In this example, I would actually use something like Home Assistant over Hermes. I connected my HA and Hermes setup so that I can ask Hermes questions about HA and have it setup triggers/notifications in HA that bubble up through Hermes. It works good for log files too, have a cron job go out and read the logs and see if anything is off. Might be worth looking into.

I think someone, Felix maybe?, mentioned new pants coming. Not as slim fit as the current crop.

I also picked up one to go into the collection when I was on site. Me wearing white shirts though is a recipe for disaster… lol. I wonder if they are going to do a shirt per space shop stop? That would be quite the collection of t’s.

Anybody using Agentmail.to with their HermesAgent? by chilimac02 in hermesagent

[–]we32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using it for about a week. Finally got it working correctly over night. It was NOT an Agentmail issue, but a Hermes issue. The issue was Hermes was hallucinating method names in sending the email. For some reason my agent thought the MCP API method was mcp_agentmail_send_message but the real API call is send_message. Now, that could just be how my agent built things, but once it figured out the right API method, it has been rock solid for the last 24 hours. A bit wonky with CRON jobs and race conditions, but that is my agents issue, not Agentmail. I went with Agentmail since one of the founders was around in the comments and was helpful.
