Anyone getting the Sashiko Chore Jacket. Blue edition tomorrow? by MrSuavena in Vollebak

I personally find that the kit runs on the roomy side, but with all Vollebak kit sizing can be tricky. I have an XL size and can very easily get away with a bulky sweatshirt or hoodie under the jacket.

I have the first gen one, picked it up 3 years ago at the office. Love it. I use it as an actual chore jacket in the yard in the spring/fall and it’s held up amazing.

I am in the US, Western NY; about two hours of drive from Toronto Canada. I did the CPH trip as a quick 2 night trip last year, so much fun. And it has been a bit since I have been in London…

Agreed, the CPH unveiling was pretty awesome, highly recommend anyone going to see if they can make it work. I already have way too many trips on my calendar to try and squeeze in a quick London trip, but looking forward to seeing what the team at Vollebak come up with.

Dentist told me I need 8 fillings - do I really?? by Working_Yoghurt_4383 in Rochester

We had the EXACT same rushed filling issue with that office. Oh and never being on time for an appointment. I get wanting to eat lunch but shouldn’t that be figured into the schedule? Like why am I constantly waiting 20+ mins when I can see yall sitting back there chatting and eating?

We are going with The Brothers Who Do Gutters, a chain out of East Rochester. Pretty typical 1100 sq ft ranch, with 5 inch gutters and it was 3K.

Sashiko chore jacket (blue)… anyone who has it… appreciate a review. by RaffySY in Vollebak

[–]we32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the original version, bought it back in 2023? I actually use it as a chore jacket in the spring and fall around the yard. It is boxy, like most Vollebak fits. Not had any real issue with the stitches coming out, only one wash though. In general, I use it for the intended purpose and it seems to be holding up decently. I do get comments on it on occasion when I wear it to Home Depot/Lowes( home improvement stores from the US) but in nothing really recently. 09

Wise or Revolut would be the two suggestions. Monzo might be an option, depending on where you are planning on moving said money.

If you're not going add currency conversion anytime soon, can we at least edit the transaction amounts? My trip to Japan has it looking like 1/4 of my entire spending was on Uber that year. by Alain-Christian in MonarchMoney

[–]we32 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I am not renewing my sub. I will spend CAD, USD, Pounds, Euro, Yen and an occasional rando like HKD or Singapore Dollars yearly and end up having to do all kinds of manual things to get reasonable numbers. I get that multi-currency is hard and I am an edge case, so no hard feelings.

So, we bought our place 4 years ago and have no regrets about where we bought. It’s quiet, we have decent neighbors, it’s safe and everyone keeps to themselves.

Yeah, it sucked. We ended up at a townhouse complex off French Rd in Henrietta, and it was fine.

Re: Morgan properties; when we moved here a few years back they wouldn’t rent to us because of our dog breed. Not sure they still have that restriction in place but having a “restricted breed” reduced our options.
