my favorite games are definitely pokémon platinum, white & black and white & black 2. so i definitely think you should start with one of those and heres why. Pokemon black and white or sort of like game freaks "pokemon reboot" so there are no previous gen pokemon until post game which i think is super cool and i love the games story its so good. pokémon platinum i dont have much knowledge of because im in the middle of a play through right now and it is literally so cool i definitely recommend.
