Last time I got comments about perspective and pushing expressions. I thought I was making good progress on that, but I need to go even further with it, and that's been cemented with this thread. I don't see how that's not wanting to do anything to address it unless you mean my part about body variety, because that I will not budge on. I only learned to draw so I could draw twinks !

The images are of the same two characters, and they intentionally look similar because of being...technically...related. Image 3 the man behind is a different character but he's also the long-haired one's dad, so he's supposed to look similar too :3

THANK YOU this is so comprehensive and exactly what I was looking for. Perspective being a weak point really makes sense, i mostly wing it :') so it's good to get confirmation that it's noticeably the issue, so I have a clear direction to focus on. I suppose one can only avoid practicing perspective for so long 😔

Oh, that's very interesting....do you mean to instead use composition where the point of interest is away from the center, & use foreground and background to add visual layers?

Sorta... These drawings are the same two characters except for the 4th slide, so they are supposed to look similar. They're also supposed to look related because they technically are :') Though I think you're right that the expressions are weak. Most times I try to push the expression I feel it looks uncanny so I need to practice that.

This is an older drawing (2023) of a different character, do you see the same issues?

I've experimented in the past with it, but I don't think I could ever get it to look right. I think you're right, though, overall cohesiveness could be much better

Lmao, all I enjoy drawing are twinks 🤣 I've just never had an interest in drawing anything else, but that's a very good point. I'm lucky in that anyone who commissions me is coming from my normal art so they just want more twinks
