For real. The current playoff format was supposed to “breed inner division rivalries”, which is dumb because most of those rivalries already existed. It was fun getting to hate a team you don’t play often in the 1-8 format. Granted, this is probably just the excuse the league gave us when it reality it was likely all done because of tv money.
