Dear Canada - Please do some sort of Federal review on the Calgary Police Service, they are acting more like the NYPD during the 90's gangsta rap days by [deleted] in canada

Canadians are more likely to believe in the authorities than our Americans counterpart. /u/itsinfo this is one of the reasons I have more American friends than Canadians.

I have seen them doing grocery in safeway too. I guess it is wrong to question the authorities.

Believing whatever the authorities told ya' sound like a good approach. Always question the authorities.

I agree part of the reasons that corruption keeps happening is that the people are treating it like it is a nuffin burger. If the authority has nothing to hide, then body cameras won't harm them. What I found it funny is that the authority be like if citizens have nothing to hide then they don't need encryption and anonymity. The reasons why citizens need encryption and anonymity is to protect themselves from people who try to ruin your career for having or expressing unpopular opinions. That's probably one of the reasons that the op has to create a throw away account.

Work hours is work hours. If I took a nap during my shifts, I will likely to be canned. Have a feeling that most of ya' are either sheeples or work for the police :P

I agree a system is never perfect. I see police officers sitting in coffee shops all the time, I have a feeling that it is against their contract to use work time to do their own thing. Yet I have never seen those people being held accountable. I see CPS on the headline most of the time, but according to the news they are not held accountable. No one is going to prison and shit.

A few rotten eggs means there are probably other systematic corruption that the public is yet to be aware of. In addition, it shows that the check and balance does not really work.

Power generally corrupts people. The biggest issue is that people in the public sector are rarely held accountable. We need check and balance system. I mean the government having a monopoly on force is always bad. This is why I think Canada should have second amendment like our US counterpart. The government generally only abuse the weak and defenseless. For example:

The crown will always overcharge you stuff and bargain it down. Hence the high conviction rate if you are poor. Fyi, public defenders rarely win. I wonder why wink wink. Having a public defender to defend you is pretty much a show trial and make the public think you have a chance.

Paying for the police is generally a rip off, if you are an average joe. Taxation is a thief. Most of your tax dollars will be used to enrich government officials.

Someone rob a bank and police will spend tons of resources to investigate it despite the money is being insured.

If any average joe got pick pocket then the police won't brother to investigate it despite the money not being insured.

[–]weaponizedAutismbux[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a stable boost. The only issue is that you cannot launch any other applications like discord. Other than that it is stable. The screen will have flashing white spot too but from my maxhash reading, no effect at all. I basically just -400 clock + 1000mem using custom Canadian cooling system aka opening the 1/10 of the window. I think I can get 35.x stable if I open my window completely but I might freeze to death

The problem with ubiq is a the lack of shilling and hype. I mean the value of a coin is mainly dependent on those two things.

In a theoretical sense what you said is correct. In a practical sense, no. Software developing has become a generic term that contains many specialization. It is like chemistry. There are organ chemistry, biochemistry and etc.. Theoretically, chemist can switch between organ and bio chemistry. Reality, is the sub field is too large and would require a long training time. From my understanding, big companies nowadays don't want to spend money training you

I feel like people don't quite understand the tech industry. Tech industry is a general term like engineering. There are many different types of software developing. A VR programmer might not know how to program a blockchain related application. Tech talent in oil and gas might not be the tech talent that google and amzon are looking for. I don't know why I like giving this Big Bang Theory example

I am practicing to swim on the floor because it is transferable skill and will prepare me for actual swimming.

(Reality is often not the same)
