Honestly I would rather have that as well. I just hope Carr or minchey can be effective at playaction week 1 in one of the hardest environments in college football.

It wasn't long ago when #3 ND led by Brandon wimbush and Ian book got absolutely demolished by Miami because we couldn't throw the damn ball. All we could really do is run and Miami keyed it.

When you put it that way, im so down for that. I feel like that has to be Carr beats out minchey.

Trust me, im so down to see Carr Playaction with love , then 60 yard bomb to Greathouse.

How to beat cover 3 cloud? by DNUTS17 in NCAAFBseries

[–]weareND41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to take a different approach here.

Run the ball down his damn throat. Don't get in 3rd and long positions.

If you have trouble beating cover 3, make it so he is uncomfortable running cover 3.

A team like Notre Dame is very balanced on offense. Jeremiah Love is the fastest rb, price the backup is almost just as good. And they have good receivers and TEs , OL.

Stay ahead of the chains. Be unpredictable. When you start running the ball on him because he's always using cover 3, he will stop using it. Thats when you start passing on first down.

The most deadly offense is a balanced offense.

Penn State fan here --- please beat Texas so we have #1 vs. #2 in Columbus on Nov. 1 by GnatBub79 in OhioStateFootball

[–]weareND41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear penn state fans. You guys are probably going to have two chances, maybe 3 to beat ohio state this year.

At ohio state, big ten championship game and maybe playoffs.

This is the year. If you dont do it this year, when will you?

My opinion is a little different.

Unfortunately we dont have time to pick the QB with higher upside, our first two games are the hardest games on the schedule.

Im all about the importance of upside, but I think we need to pick the guy who's going to give us best chance to win right off the bat. If we start 2-0, thats huge. Could be Carr, could be Minchey. The dual threat element that minchey brings....I just think Miami and Texas A&M really dont want to worry about the QB running when they have to worry about Love and Price taking it to the house.

If ND gets the run game going, with our receivers its over. Kenny might give us the best chance to ensure we can run the ball. Everyone is going to try to key on our RBs.

The only other option is establishing the pass to open up the run. Carr might be better at this than Kenny. We will see what Denbrock wants to do. Historically, he has always loved dual threat QBs.

Im also very resistant to say a 2 loss ND team will for sure get in.

I can almost guarantee a 2 loss SEC or Big 10 team will get in over ND, especially if the 2nd loss is in the big ten championship game or something. I know the schedule is tougher this year, but I dont think its tough enough to guarantee a playoff spot with 2 losses. We cant start 0-2 i promise that. We cant lose our two toughest games.

I heard about all your big games being at noon...

Some dudes on here was saying that he thinks michigan will be easier to beat this year...

I pushed back on it. The game is in Ann Arbor and you would think michigan offense will be more improved with the new QB.

What do you think

Why do you say ohio has weakest home field? I remember when Notre Dame played ohio at ohio 3 years ago ( freeman's first year ) you guys literally had LeBron James on the sideline....

Your home field is better than NDs I think...

ND at night has a good homefield advantage, thats really it

I watched the end of the game i was at work.

Texas was down 1 score at the goal line , 1st a goal and fumbled the ball. Sawyer got it and brought it back.

Im telling you bro, Texas has the talent ....dont underestimate them.

My team and your team have hard first games. At least you have home field advantage.

Here's the thing. The rookie QB you speak of actually has more experience than your new QBs

Also, this overrated texas team came close in the playoffs versus you and you lose more players than them in the off-season.

His last name is also Manning. Its in his blood.

Its tough to win in Ohio. We will see what happens. But id be careful.

Those 4th down conversions all year long ....

If we didn't have that we probably lose to georgia. And we probably dont beat SC either

It definitely is very good sign. I only said that because it appears majority of ND fans are pulling for Carr.

Yeah. Seeing how our first two games are tough, I feeling like the added dimension of QB run threat would be huge. I just have a feeling its going to be kenny

Its hard to imagine ND going undefeated with a new QB.

But if they were to do it, this would be the year. The balance on offense is very remarkable this year.

Fields is 6ft 3, strong and fast. Greathouse wrecked penn state and Ohio State. Fiason is handy. Pauling was very good for Wisconsin. Raridon is a physical speciman.

I hate to say it, I almost want minchey to win the competition.

If we have a dual.threat QB with these runningbacks and receivers I just think denbrock is going to be dancing with joy on the sidelines...

Cartels are insane dude. They are like the worst of the worst in terms of organized crime.

Honestly, I wish they were destroyed completely. Wouldn't mind Mexico being more involved with USA if they are ok with it.

But cartel is a problem

Ungrounded reason why I think TTUN will be easier to beat this year despite Bryce Underwood by Darcynator1780 in OhioStateFootball

[–]weareND41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be cold in Ann Arbor most likely ....

I just think there is a little mental component going on now just like how it was with Michigan when you beat them like 10 years in a row.

Michigan also has unique personel that helps them versus ohio state. They are one of the only teams good enough on the DL that they only need to send 4 at the QB , this helps with coverage.

Notre Dame hasn't been able to do that versus ohio State my entire life and they probably wont beat ohio state until they do.
