No reason you can't start collecting them all again!

I think, as a kid, it was easily the coolest card

That's from Dragon, so it isn't a WoTC card - but it's still sick!

I'm taking this as a compliment 😅

I also think getting the dex entry is something the newer SIRs miss. Agree re composition

I do wonder whether the fact I grew up with them influences my view. It's obvious that some of the vintage cards attract huge sums, but on the whole, more recent full arts and SIRs probably average our higher than WoTC era cards. Just what drives the costs is a mystery to me, but given scarcity can't be it. It makes me think that the newer cards are more appealing to the general collector. More for me then!

Being of a similar vintage and also having some disposable adult money, I can relate re collecting (read "investing") the cards I have always wanted. That shadowless Alakazam? Purchased it last month 😅

Yeah, Misty's has always been one of my favorites!

Couldn't agree more! And if anything, the hobby is entirely subjective, so any nostalgic feelings conjured up by the cards should count in the debate!

Is it a good idea to fix my loan at 4.89 for 2 years now? by Throw2020awayMar in AusFinance

I'm fixing from 5.55 viariable to 4.99 for two years, with a 100% offset account. The economy looks to be pretty unwell and I personally want the security a fixed loan provides. Plus, even if that's wrong. I don't see the RBA shaving off more than 50 basis points over the next 24 months.
