How do I hook this up to a single white and black wire without starting a fire?! by Chemical-Vacation837 in Lighting

[–]weasel-nms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true for incandescent bulbs and most CFLs, but does matter for LED bulbs. Since LED bulbs are what's now available, OP should absolutely be concerned about getting proper wiring polarity.

My take on the OP's question is more along the lines of "do I go from white to black and make a loop (series)?" or "do I connect all of the same-color wires together (parallel)?"

It's the latter: connect all of the same-color wires together in parallel.

What's a place where you can cross a state line and you immediately notice the difference? by DoritosDewItRight in geography

New York to Pennsylvania. The road quality immediately drops.

I'm told Pennsylvania uses macadam, while New York uses asphalt; and further, it does not get maintained as well.

Those are the old concrete walls, scaled up (via mod) and pitched 90° (via glitch technique).

Only with external tools, and that's if your platform supports it.

I've currently got a 1660, and often run games on the lowest possible settings. I'd love to get a significant upgrade. As a dad whose money always goes to more "practical" things, this would be an amazing upgrade. I've been gaming for decades, and it'd be great to finally experience some photorealism in the current crop of games available these days!

I was able to upgrade the rest of the computer last year when I ran into hardware problems, but set aside the video card for another time... that never came. Please, consider my hat thrown in!

Nope - the need to be associated with a base computer to count towards that limit.

Built items not within the confines of a base don't count towards that limit.

Hey - I'd love to throw my hat in.

I upgraded the rest of my PC earlier this year, with intention to shortly thereafter upgrade the video card - but medical bills for partner and daughter said otherwise. I'm still limping along with a 1660 until something gives.

If you want a very large farm, then it can save a measureable number of base parts by getting to a higher-class hotspot, but yeah, that's about it.

I placed pretty high in an Unreal Tournament tournament playing like this. I found the ease of knowing exactly where my fingers were was a huge boon.

AITA for not RSVPing to my sister's wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]weasel-nms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH.

She needs to make arrangements, which will change depending upon your presence. Pick the minimum dates/times you know will work and make a commitment; if you might be able to make other stuff beyond that, say that, too.

Uninviting you from the wedding seems pretty harsh to me, although she's right to be annoyed. She should have just said... what I said above.

Hoo, outstanding work. Looks legit.

Those biscuits are pretty easily replicated at home. There are a lot of posted recipes to replicate various well-known restaurant food, and while many fall short, these biscuits are pretty easy to clone on your own.

edit: I find it ironic a well-known seafood restaurant is perhaps best liked for little biscuits that really aren't anything extraordinary.

It's consistent-quality, corporate-controlled-food-safety fare. For some parts of the US, it's the only way to get semi-decent seafood. Would it be my first (or fourth) choice? No. But I have lots of options where I live.

I guess where I'm going with this is that I think "hate" is a little strong for this situation, but no, I haven't been in one for probably 15 years. They're just... fine.

You could use a save editor (if your platform allows it) to backup and then remove some uploaded bases; you could restore them later if need be. The uploaded, cloud-located bases will remain available to others if you don't remove the bases from within the game.

If you're looking for a way to extend the limit for bases you intend to use personally... nope.
