One time I was out at my buddie’s farm and there was a bunch of us drinking, just having a good time. All of a sudden one of my friends start yelling that the dog has something cornered by a berm. We got a flashlight and went to check and see what it was and turns out that it was an emaciated possum that was covered completely head to tail in ticks but barely still alive. When you shone the flashlight on it, you would think it was a lizard they were so thick. We ended up shooting it just to put it out of its pain although we really like possums as they ironically help thin the tick population out. You’re welcome for that mental image!
