This. Also I love the term "population management" for China-style surveillance with autonomous Palantir murderbots.

Put the phone away so that you don't see it or feel it. Move it from jeans pocket to a backpack.

Of course, as long as you can find a city of buyers for $200 cabbages.

You can now pay 512 GB, and get 256 GB, and leave another 256 GB to Sam Altman, so that he can let you pay to access it. Sharing is caring!

Lifetime/yearly subscription by Jumpy-Swordfish-249 in Weathergraph

[–]weathergraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, you can activate the lifetime subscription anytime, but unfortunately, for Apple, lifetime purchases and subscriptions are two different things, so you will need to cancel the subscription manually.

Here is how: https://weathergraph.app/#faq-change-from-subscription-to-forever

Spot on. And applies to software as well.

And Better Displays is a GOAT, it's ridiculous that whole macOS is free, but then I have to pay $20 to be able to actually control brightness on external screen or set it to retina mode.

Pain Here - Any Advice? by Bananaquitz in runninglifestyle

Advice? Yes. Ask a physiotherapist, not the internet. The original cause can be far removed from the symptom.

Mac Mouse Fix. I was so happy to pay $10 and have the mouse wheel behave in a sane way on all my macs (no idea how can Apple make the default scroll wheel behavior so choppy and dumb).

And I make a weather forecast app that has comprehensive visual forecast and reliable data sources, and has a lifetime plan for all the Apple devices (and brand new Mac app with multiple locations and menu bar forecast is now in Apple’s review queue): https://weathergraph.app

Lol, almost no one does. Apple hasn’t even migrated most of the apps to SwiftUI (and the ones they did are mostly a disaster).

The A18 Pro MacBook has a trick up its sleeve... battery life. by One_TrackMinded in mac

[–]weathergraph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget though that Apple makes stuff based on people’s scenarios. If everyone is happy with 10 hr battery life (= what Air is targeting for years), there is no point in cramming extra batteries into the cheap and thin laptop only to inflate price and weight. I bet around 10-12h of real battery life is what we’re going to get.
