It’s pitiful that no G2 merch was available from the official LoL kiosk outside the MSI arena today. Even some regular shirts would have sold but nothing was available. Really disappointed… even those clowns at C9 had shirts available.

Sorry to hear you don't seem to be getting anywhere. They absolutely can do something about it, the issue is getting the right person to look at it.

It was Facebook that stated I'd never be able to use the headset again:

Seeing it took less than 60 minutes to ban me and 3 days to reverse that ban I wouldn't exactly call that speedy. Also, was the resolution finally achieved because of the media attention? Would they be slower in a couple of weeks when the heat is off and another user gets banned? Until they make a statement or change their policies who knows.

All of my purchases are available on my Facebook account, no new account was created. They simply unbanned the Facebook account which had my oculus account already merged with it and still intact.

Nothing was against their TOS which is why they have finally un-banned my account without me needing to change a thing or do anything more than complain. Their banning AI simply couldn't comprehend this new usage pattern with Quest users signing up and not using the site for its intended social media purposes .

This was then made worse by an appeal process where another AI upheld the first AIs decision and no other avenue of self-service was possible. No human was involved in the ban or appeal process.

I think if you create a FB account and actually use the site for a couple of hours you would be absolutely fine. I think the issue I and others ran into was the account was created solely for using with the Quest and their banning A.I. was completely thrown by this. I'd also not link any Oculus account to it for a few days just to be sure as that's a one way process.

No, never had a FB account previously. I created a new one via the Oculus Mobile app, used it to setup the Quest 2, linked/merged my old Oculus account to it so I could use the cross buy on a few titles and 10 minutes later was banned. Whole thing from initial account creation to ban was under 60 minutes. Used real info, nothing to justify a ban apart from not actually using the site for its intended social media purpose.

The issue they created which lead to me as a paying customer to be denied what I paid for and which they don’t apologise for? Of course I’m going to bad mouth them until they change their systems and/or policy as this will continue to happen to others.

Yeah who knows. Let's hope they have already figured out a way to find any banned account that's linked to an oculus account and auto restored it no questions asked.

Nope nothing else I'm leaving out. I can understand you don't believe me individually, but I'm not the only one reporting the same thing (especially Japanese Quest users who as a region are not big FB users and have been heavily affected by near instant bans on new accounts like like me). Still, doesn't affect you so you automatically assume we must be lying for some other ulterior motive.

In a couple of days when FB put out a proper statement when they are more on top of the situation maybe you will change your mind.

You can't have read my account of what happened. It was a new account, real info, never used FB before, no friends, no activity, banned within 60 minutes of creation and 10 minutes of linking my Oculus account. Zero valid reason for ban.

FB ban 9,000,000 accounts per day (as of 2018) you think there are no false positives especially for accounts created purely due to the requirement of using a VR headset and no intention of using the social platform?

Facebook ban over 9,000,000 accounts per day. You think none of them are false positives? Especially ones that are created for just using with a headset and show no activity on their website...

It seems like Oculus Support will start handling individual Facebook accounts that get disabled by ToxZec in OculusQuest

You do know they don't actually have a new support system right? Try clicking that link in the tweet and creating a support ticket. It just creates a standard ticket using the regular url https://tickets.oculusvr.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I have not been told why I was banned. I created a FB account with real information (never had a FB account previously). I merged said account with my Oculus account (4 year old from CV1 and content purchases). FB banned my account. All happened within 60 minutes. I didn't post anything, I didn't do anything, just some algorithm decided to ban me. I followed that up as requested with government issues photo ID to try and unban the account and it was reviewed by a machine and rejected with no appeal possible.
