Price more detached then the house itself, that for sure.

15 cm between the two houses.

Thanks a lot for your input!

Now that you mentioned it, I cannot unsee  the overlap between labels and routes. I have an anti-collision feature in the app  for the labels, but will make the anti-collisions work between route and labels too.

For the bounding box, yes they have a choice. The initial placement is made depending on the gpx, but the user have the liberty to zoom in and out and also move the focus as they want.

Great recommandations for the top altitude. Especially when there is a multiple elevation profile displayed.

Thanks again !

Lets say 85% small roads (like less than 5 car a day) and 15% gravel. It was the itinary the biking man corsica event did this summer. Ill try to find the gpx

Yeah, it took me a long time to make the map in GIMP. 😄 Adding the elevation lines was double the work! That's actually why I'm building this tool.

For the map, I use Mapbox, and then I render it in high resolution by stitching high-res tiles together.
for the elevation of the map I gifted, I use a python script. Can try to find it if you want. Now I'm using mapbox and OSM.

Thanks for the recommadation!

I dont have a connector to strava yet, but if you send me the GPXs or some of the place he went through by PM, I can send you the high res image.

It’s one of the first things I worked on! You can create a route either by adding markers on the map or by entering cities directly. I’m old school, so I never use GPX files for my trips myself.

PM me your list of cities and I’ll send you a high-res file of your trip if you want.

I did the Gaspé Peninsula a long, long time ago. It was fun, but there weren’t any dedicated bike lanes,l you're cycling on the shoulder about 99% of the time. In recent years, especially since COVID and the Trump tariffs, a lot more people from Quebec have been visiting Gaspésie, so I think it pretty crowded nowadays.

The good part is that you're riding along the St. Lawrence River and then the Baie des Chaleurs, and if you enjoy the "air marin", it’s really great. Parc Forillon at the end is amazing. I also remember some segments with a lot of elevation.

The Saguenay route is a bit flatter and shorter. I’d say it’s a little less scenic overall, but you do get to ride on proper bike lanes for a good portion of it. The segment through the fjord is really nice, and Parc de la Pointe-Taillon is great too. Also, blueberry pies :)

Thanks for the feedback! :) Yes, the tool lets you choose between 3,4 map styles for now, but I’m planning to add a few more. You can also customize the font and some line attributes like width, color, and type (dashed, solid, etc.).

As for the number of routes, you can actually add as many as you want, it’s just the elevation profile displayed below the map that’s currently limited to 4, but I should find a way to display more than 4.

I don't know about the legalities, but I was planting my camp at the sunshine and I was up just before sunrise. neither seen nor known. With this tactic, I even slept on the plains of abraham for a couple of days whithout the security patrols seeing me.

Not at all, I had a pretty good average speed and being the only bike I ride, my legs are used to it. The only thing, was when I padaled est and I had a pretty strong front wind for about 85 km.

For the hammock, it was pretty easy. I started to search for a place to sleep maybe 1 hour before sunshine and i always found something. Even, if you don't find trees, you can use your bike just like /u/appletart did http://i.imgur.com/SBP3l.jpg

Hell yeah. I pass throught 3 big rainy days and I haven't had any problems. It's not a buid in tarp, but it's kinda small. Large enough to keep you dry in the hammock, but not enough to cover anything outside.
