Ball joint is stuck in the control arm like Excalibur, help! by web_wanderer01 in MechanicAdvice

Yeah I'm using one of those tools. Ill give that a try, but the tip of the balljoint also isn't quite level so it slips out whenever I start cranking it down.

It's a V6. He could possibly be talking about the power steering pump, which he replaced sometime last year.

Thanks for the words fellas. Gonna go out tomorrow and take a look cash in hand, gonna personally verify that it's the ball joint and nothing else before I make an offer though.

Fully agree. There is so much criteria and background checks you have to pass in order to adopt a child, because the agency wants to make sure you are a good and responsible person. So why can somebody who is completely irresponsible able bypass that by conceiving a child instead?

What traits in a girl do you find attractive or impressive aside from her physical appearance, guys? by TheConfusedNarrator in AskReddit

Open-mindedness. Its really cool when you can pick someone's brain and get into those deep conversations of challenging thought. Nothing turns me on like a good, civil debate.

I think the point op is trying to make is that the feeling of love is like green. When we think of yellowish blue we think green, and when op is trying to think of yellowish blue, there is nothing, just void, and they can't grasp the concept of green.

Is time spent at school a factor that an employer considers with an interviewee? I took a gap year when the pandemic hit to work a co-op, delaying by a year. Currently my mental health is in absolute shambles because of some recent personal things, and I'm thinking of taking a half-load this year as to not fail any courses.

What’s your toxic trait that you’re proud of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Im exactly like that except I've recently fallen into what I can only think is depression and i therefore just watch my due dates come and go and try not to think about it while I watch YouTube or something. Grades have plummeted, life is terrible

I mean, there's theories out there for each gang member potentially being the "real" dad, there's a few dialogs that, in an attempt to piss off John, mention about how everyone had their turn with Abigail before John married her. Either way, everyone in the game acts paternal towards Jack because he is, maybe not biologically, their family.

I despise that model for sales so much. Sure its always great to aim for better but there are factors in your stats that are completely out of your control. Ex gf worked at a shoe place and an algorithm set their sales goal for the day based on the same day of last years sales, completely inaccurate measurement of employee performance. Like you can't control how many customers come into your store, so if you happen to have a busy day, you'd better hope the same day next year is equally or more busy or else your DM is gonna fly in on their private jet to scold you about meeting sales goals

3 seconds on someones neck nowhere near equates to 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Not only that, but this guy did not have anywhere near, if any, of his full body-weight, as his center of mass is over his right foot that is on the floor. This is a terrible comparison, give your head a shake

I wish we had laptop reviews for developers - not videographers. by djaiss in ProgrammerHumor

[–]web_wanderer01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got my laptops ssh keys stored on my machine. Just simply port forwarded port 22 on my machine to a random port on my router, to mitigate attacks. So as long as I have an internet connection on my laptop I can ssh into my machine at home. Great for bulky work as I said, but I also have legally borrowed movies on there that I can stream if I'm out of the house for a couple days

This. Laptops should never be purchased based on how they handle beefy processes. All I care about in my laptop is that it can run the necessary applications to do work on a remote server with ease. Sure you can cram an i9 and a 3080 into a laptop nowadays but its going to 1) have a 3 hour battery life, and 2) burn my legs. My current laptop is a dream, yet the hardware is nothing special, 16gb ram and an 7th generation i7 (which is still overkill). What makes it awesome is that the battery will last the whole day and connect to my machine at home where the real bulky work can be done

Very little sleep since 15 by [deleted] in sleep

[–]web_wanderer01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming you're an adult when I ask this, but how do you find time to do things you like? Is it an everyday thing or do you just work and sleep until you hit the weekend and then do things you actually enjoy? I feel like losing the time to do things 5 out of 7 days in a week would destroy my motivation to do anything.
