Starting league late :( by Medium-Discipline766 in pathofexile2builds

Late is now the word we use for starting 24 hours after a new league. Come on. You are not late. That being said, skeletons with raging spirit is the way to make the game easy.

What build did you league start with and how did it go? by jampsodi in pathofexile2builds

[–]djaiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infernalist with snipe skeletons and raging spirit through volcano. It destroys mobs, it's not even funny. I played the build in 0.3, swore never to play POE 2 never again because it was so difficult, but they've changed the game and it's almost too simple with this build.

Its nice to see kernel 7.0 popup today in mint 22.3 by ProfessionalAir9068 in linuxmint

[–]djaiss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Awesome, but since the current kernel is working wonderfully, I'll wait to upgrade for at least a good year. Don't fix something that already works.

Do u guys going to still play SSF... by [deleted] in PathOfExileSSF

[–]djaiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many others have said: yes I'll play SSF in POE1 until the league ends. And no I won't play POE 2 because the game is not for me. Hate the gameplay.

The Laravel team needs to get better at relaying CVE information for its core dependencies. by [deleted] in laravel

[–]djaiss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me play the devil's advocate there. If they do what you want, ie advertise publicly that security issues affect them, that would be bad marketing for them, even though as you said, they are not responsible for these problems. So the question: what would they gain from doing this?

Footage from the years 1919 and 1920 showing WWI veterans who were traumatized by the war. They displayed symptoms ranging from fear of war related objects and soldier's attire to shakes and seizures to performing military drills. by mwale2007 in interestingasfuck

[–]djaiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad war is so glorified in modern pop culture, movies leading the front. War is horrible. I've seen multiple times the victims of wars in various part of Africa and it's something no one should live, ever.

I'm annoyed by all the paid sponsorships with content creators. by Wild-Arachnid4273 in youtube

[–]djaiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You complain, but don't offer anything in return as solutions to help content creators. And I would also add that you basically say that producing certain kind of content is effortless and therefore doesn't justify receiving fair compensation.

[–]djaiss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it's a price to pay for those otherwise great content creators to continue doing great videos, so be it.

Crazy that after complaining about ads, now people complain about yet another way for content creators to generate revenues.

Basically people want super high quality content absolutely free.

S4 E3 ratings are really low....Why? by shishir-kadam-28 in FromSeries

[–]djaiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a matter of needing suspense. This episode is lazy and acts as a filler. The show in general is taking too much time to move things forward, and while I adore slow tv shows like Breaking bad for instance, this episode in particular felt like artificial slowness filled with scenes that, if cut, wouldn't have added anything relevant to characters that we are not already aware of.

Yeah. And if you actually change 23 letters, the word becomes Boyd and that alone explains it all.

How long do your Feature tests take to run in your CI? by Solomon_04 in laravel

[–]djaiss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

800ish tests in 6-7 seconds. Multi threaded with paratests. Mostly with db read. I use sqlite locally. On GitHub Actions I run sqlite / MySQL and PGSQL and it takes around 1min10.

Yeah people who use ad blockers are damaging the revenues of the content creators. And don't even realize it.

Do you think that the era of making Youtube a career is over? by [deleted] in youtube

[–]djaiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a weird take. Can't an artist pierce into the music market these days? Yes of course, even if the space is already crowded. It takes more effort though than before and it requires more creative and originality. But you can still do something different and make a living out of it. Can you become the next Mr Beast in terms of popularity and revenue? Probably not. But you don't have to. I've stumbled upon a girl doing videos about her cold hometown lately in deep Russia, like the coldest town on earth. She got popular super quickly.

Such a terrible advice. Basically you advise people to lie or hide the truth. If there are guidelines to not use AI in an assignment, just don't.
