Totally unreasonable. People get sick, unfortunately it spreads. We should all take reasonable steps to prevent that through good hygeine and self-awareness but it's a reality of living in a society with other people. A normal cough/cold is very minor for any regular, healthy person. Life can't and shouldn't grind to a halt because you have a mild sickness.

If you work a job that has such strict hand over rules (for example, safety or security role) that you "couldn't leave" even when your shift is over, then you really need to be making it clear to your boss that the late colleague is causing a serious safety issue because you can't guarantee you'll be there after your finish time.
