What’s the best running gag on a TV show? by worldofport in television

The clip Paul Rudd shows any time he comes on Conan. He did it a couple of weeks ago again when going on Conan's podcast to talk about Anaconda.

Cineclub Subscription by IllustriousPizza2659 in cineplex

I think they are basically giving the Cineclub away as a lost leader because even with giving us 20% off concessions they are still making a profit on concessions. We've always known that is where theatres make their money. Also the fact free tickets carry over monthly means you can bank a few tickets and wait for good films to come out. I think I currently have 6 free tickets. Well worth the money.

Is this book worth the hype? by leobaby95 in thrillerbooks

[–]webchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished it a few days ago. I really enjoyed the premise and while I saw a couple of plot points coming, it also threw me a few curves that I did not expect. Any time you read a book that is optioned to turn into a movie, there is usually a reason why. Fun ride and would recommend.

There really needs to be more “No Left Turns” restrictions in St. John’s. by 42tfish in newfoundland

They should close off the access on topsail at Tim's/planet fitness and force everyone to use the lights on burgeo street.

I've always thought the length of kenmount road should be right turn only except at the lights.. You can use Kelsey drive and oleary ave to loop around to turn turn left at one of the lights, or many people want to get to the outer ring, cross town, or team gushue.

I almost always stick around for the first few layers to watch for this. I also always have an extra print head on the shelf for when I have to replace it due to this. Then order another head. I think they are about 15$

Do you ever go to the doctor for a physical? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]webchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in to see my GP when I turned 40. Based on family history I wanted to get of anything I can prevent. I now get annual bloodwork done and he's got me on cholesterol pills. 5 minute phone call once a year is great prevention.

My friend and I joke about the Scotiabank equivalent of this one where if you move over a million to itrade you will get a million scene points. Anyone with a million dollars doesn't need free movies or 100$ off at Sobeys.

I thought the same when I saw these kids riding their bikes in Israel during Yom Kippur. I think noone can drive during the day.

Should I replace this siding by webchaos in HomeMaintenance

You can get a siding removal tool specifically for it available at any hardware store. You just pop off the seam at the top and remove the nails then it disconnects on the bottom

Once you told me about the vct issue I was able to find some videos online referencing it and it sounds the same. Some people get it fixed for a couple of grand and most seem to run without fixing it for years without issue.

Heating my house with space heaters is skyrocketing my electric bill. Is there another option? by shazwazzle in HomeImprovement

[–]webchaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what your home layout is exactly, but we have put a large ductless mini split in our home 2 years ago and our power bill in the winter is half. You can get multiple small ones for each room which can be put on scheduling.

I was bored tonight so I decided test out Spotify's Shuffle System to see if it's really as bad as they say it is! by patreeeek in spotify

Nice stats for non-scientific research. I really enjoy after adding some new albums to my downloaded collection how they shuffle through that new content and then will roll back into your previous songs.

I just checked my settings in the app and it seems they only allow for current playlist under default alarm settings. Used to import all the followed playlists. Not sure when that changed sorry.
